Help with R2 S Movie

Post by ChibiCrystal » Sat May 12, 2007 5:32 pm

Hey guys. I recently got a new laptop and was trying to see if my R2s would play in it for the heck of it, which they did so now I don't have to bother getting an R2 player, region free, etc., but I must have done something to get rid of the voices. It plays the background music as well as the opening song, but there's no dialogue. I was sorta playing around with it before I played it and maybe screwed something up. If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it!

Um... Can you tell us what software you're using on your laptop to play the DVD's? I might be able to help you once I know that. (No guarantees.)

I'm currently not using any software to play them, the laptop just switched the region code for me. Like I was just playing around with the menu and I think I might have pressed something there?

I think what Slrjoecool is referring to is that there must be a media-player program (such as Power DVD, Widows Media Player etc) on the computer that is actually playing the disc for you. It's likely that you've knocked a key or something that's a shortcut to change the audio settings. I do recall hearing that some of the R2 movie DVDs have a bonus audio setting that is just the BGM, so you'll have selected that by accident. But without knowing what player you use, we can't really advise you further.

Ok, you have Windows Media Player, but is that what you actually use to play the DVDs on your computer?
