Was Galaxia behind the Dark Kingdom's reawakeing?
In the Anime, we are never told what caused the Dark Kingdom's seal to come undone. Could it have been Sailor Galaxia who broke the seal? I mean she had the power to do it, like how she broke Queen Nehellenia's seal in Stars. The reason why she would do it is simple. Chaos who lived inside of her wanted the Silver Crystal but since it could not appear until the senshi had been awakened. So Chaos had Galaxia undo Queen Serenity's seal on the Dark Kingdom, knowing that it would would cause the Sailor Senshi to appear.

Re: Was Galaxia behind the Dark Kingdom's reawakeing?
1. Chaos' intentions in the anime are never stated; indeed, the only time Chaos is mentioned is toward the end, when we learn that it was the enemy the Sailor Senshi were fighting in the war. Rather, it is Galaxia who, possessed by Chaos, seeks more power through obtaining Sailor Crystals.Jermyn wrote:Chaos who lived inside of her wanted the Silver Crystal but since it could not appear until the senshi had been awakened. 2. The Silver Crystal had nothing to do with the Sailor Senshi, except maybe Sailor Moon who Galaxia would not have known about, given that she never existed during the Silver Millennium.
3. Why wait the 3-4 years to invade Earth after the Guardian Senshi were revived? And why count on "fate" to have Pluto brought to the present, or to have Uranus and Neptune awakened? Why didn't she attack the earth when all 10 Sailor Senshi were awakened in S?
Further, isn't it mentioned in the cartoon that the increase in sunspot activity is what causes the barrier to the Dark Kingdom to weaken?

Galaxia also didn't exist when the first season came out.
Everybody was a baby once, Arthur. Oh, sure, maybe not today, or even yesterday. But once. Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you''ve got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception.

I just assumed in the anime during the early seasons that Galaxia was busy taking over other parts of the galaxy.
The galaxy is a huge place even from someone with her power. I mean you might think its a long walk to the post office, but thats just peanuts compared to the galaxy.

Well, Galaxia is just a Sailor Soldier... so of course she existed, she just hadn't sealed Chaos within her body as of yet. (I think)Kameko wrote:Galaxia also didn't exist when the first season came out.
I haven't watched Sailor Stars in a while so i cannot remember how long ago Sailor Galaxia had sealed away Chaos compared to when the Dark Kingdom attacked.
It's also too bad that they didn't really discuss Chaos more in the Anime and show the connection with the other villains.

I thought that the seal weakened over time until Beryl was able to break it from the inside.
This is why Queen Serenity sent everyone to the early 80's, because she knew that the seal would break ~14 years after that, and she wanted to have Luna and Artemis find and prepare the Senshi.
This would also explain why the Senshi are born in the same time period as the Dark Kingdom revives; an otherwise unlikely coincidence.

Sailor Moon came out in Japan in 1992. Not the 80's.

Ummm....wouldn't the senshi be born in the late 70's early 80's?Tiff wrote:Early 80's?Gamer8585 wrote: This is why Queen Serenity sent everyone to the early 80's, because she knew that the seal would break ~14 years after that, and she wanted to have Luna and Artemis find and prepare the Senshi.

I assumed that their spirits were sent to a newly formed Zygote. Usagi was probably born in 1978 add 14 years and you get 1992 when Usagi becomes Sailor Moon. Micharu and Haruka were born eariler and Hotaru was born later. So I guess it would be mid-70's to early 80's.

yeh I know what you mean.
From what I know... Chaos had parts of her that went off to spread evil... so Queen Metaria, Death Fantom, Pharoah 90, and Nehellenia were parts of Chaos that caused the other characters to turn evil.
Coz apparently all characters were good before they were influenced by some sort of evil. I am unsure though whether or not Chaos was to blame for the seal of the Dark Kingdom being broken...

This is actually one thing about Sailor Moon I always found fascinating.
I personally always imagined the whole thing with Galaxia sealing chaos happening CENTURIES before Sailor Moon was awakened. I honestly thought it happened even before the Silver Millenium ended. Considering it probably took years for her to really become to villian she was, and years to take over the galaxy. *shrugs*
I
think Galaxia could have been responsible for breaking the seal. I mean, she probably wanted the Senshi's star seeds to mature. I wouldn't put it past her to do such a thing.

She sure didn't mind getting a rather immature Saturn star seed :Pusachan wrote:I think Galaxia could have been responsible for breaking the seal. I mean, she probably wanted the Senshi's star seeds to mature. I wouldn't put it past her to do such a thing.

I read this and took time to think and theirs abit of a flaw with the whole Galaxia breaking the seal thing. If she did that and unleashed Metallia for Chaos why not attack the silver Millinium herself? She was very effective (even more so in the manga) against the senshi. If she had been around back in that time or even in that area then she could have easily fallen the senshi instead of Beryl.
I think Chaos via Its children (as the manga classified them Metallia, *Pharoh 90, Nehelina and maybe even Wiseman*) bided its time in its prison then slowly was released in the time Galaxia began her path to cleanse the galaxy of taint and evil. And that could be because of all the taboos that were broken between then and that time, ie time traveling past and futures meeting up and the constant battles where Sailor Moon had to use the silver crystal. Heck even when the Queen of the Silver Millinieum had to use it to seal everyone away could have taken from the barrier that kept Chaos at bay.
Plus both the anime and Manga I believe states when they battled Galaxia sealed Chaos in her and thus became corrupted by it. I just dont think she would have been tainted for all that time and not struck the sailors the earth's galaxy. Even the argument that she was conquering other parts of the galaxy makes no sense to me because in the anime and manga the strongest of all the sailors were those of the white moon kingdom. The focus has always been on them so it would be logical for her to have gone after them from the get go.
But thats just my thoughts on that.

Is this the sweet sound, that calls the young sailors?
The voice maybe one in the same.

Well i think you also have to take into account; the timeframe the galaxy is a big place, in the anime its stated Galaxia went for other galaxies and planets before Earth, and i'm almost sure in the Manga Galaxia said SMoon was the strongest senshi, and she needed the power from all the Senshi in the galaxy before attacking SMoon? And Chaos said he was part of all of the SM villains so it could be possible he/it was sending those villians to keep them busy and not realize what was going on in space?[Plus both the anime and Manga I believe states when they battled Galaxia sealed Chaos in her and thus became corrupted by it. Since SMoon and the rest are the strongest senshi i dont think it would make sense to go after them first cause unexperienced with not enough powers equals one big "MOON THERAPY KISS!"
But thats just what i gathered, i could be so wrong but i hope not ^-^'
