What if the Outer Senshi had been in SuperS?

What if the the Outer Senshi had been in SuperS anime like they were in manga? How do you think it would have changed the SuperS season? How do you do think they would have reacted to the Dead Moon Circus and to Pegasus?

It's kind of hard to say. It would have been just Haruka and Michiru since Pluto was supposedly dead, unless they ressurected her, and Hotaru was a baby.

I think it could have worked if it were just Uranus and Neptune, because then it wouldn't have been so crammed with characters. It would be cool to watch them fight Tigers Eye and Hawks Eye since the other senshi get to fight the amazon quartet.

There could have been a funny scene where Fish Eye hits on Haruka thinking she's a guy and Haruka flirting back with Fish Eye thinking he's a girl.

I think that if they were in it, they should have only been in a handful of episodes so there weren't so many senshi crammed into it like S and Stars. And the inners need some time in the spotlight.

They could just make SuperS season longer so instend of being 39 episodes long, it could be 49 episodes long so that all all the senshi can get their time in the spotlight. As for Pluto and Saturn bring them back half way through the season.

Personally, I think Haruka and Michiru would've felt out of place in Supers, unless they kept it closer to the manga. Supers is too comical for the more serious Uranus and Neptune. I also think the plot makes more sense without them there because Uranus and Neptune's mission was to protect the solar system from outside invaders but the Dead Moon Circus came from within the solar system. However, I would've liked to have seen more of Hotaru in Supers simply because she didn't get enough screen time in the anime. I think it would've been cute to see more of Hotaru and her friendship with Chibi-usa, especially since Supers is more Chibi-usa-centric than the other seasons.

I think the Outers would have been usable if Toei stayed closer to the manga's storyline.

BTW... Jermyn, where are you from? I find it rather odd you misspelled ''senshi'' twice in exactly the same way.

If the Outers were in it, it probably would've stayed more loyal to the manga. You'd just have Pluto dying and being resurrected a season or two later (In the manga she dies in the Black Moon(R) arc and is resurrected in the Infinity(S) arc)

...and you'd see more Hotaru =D

But the Dead Moon Circus was just as big threat as the Death Busters if not more so. I mean Queen Nehellenia came a lot closer to take over the world then Pharaoh 90 did.

These are ideas going by the anime storyline:

-The Senshi, at first, don't trust Pegasus, especially in the story where Fish Eye has that Pegasus monster. I bet Haruka and Michiru would be worse, though I don't know about Setsuna and Hotaru since they're like Chibi-Usa's best friends. That is, they might be more likely to believe her, especially Hotaru.

-It wouldn't have to be more serious, it could be a chance to put the Outers in goofy situations too. And they had funny scenes of their own anyway, like the flirting/sexual innuendo parts in SailorStars.

-Would Chibi-Usa need Pegasus to talk to as much if she had Hotaru and Setsuna? I just was thinking that she might've been more lonely in SuperS since they were gone, and Pegasus, who is also very mysterious (he doesn't call her by name until close to the end, as pointed out in one of the dub comparisons), could've been an unconcious replacement for Chibi-Usa's Senshi best friends, who don't appear in that season.

the senshi would have won easier if theyd been in it but it wouldnt have been a cake walk.

And if Hotaru had ever been attacked saturn would have activated like she did in stars.

The outers would have been a great help but the battle still would have been tough.

Haruka and Michiru aren't mean't to be comical characters, though. Their flirting might be a little humorous, but to me, that's as far as it should go. None of the Outers aren't meant be to be funny, their all very serious characters. I just can't see the Outers' faces turning into the super deformed chibi OMG faces the Inners sometimes make.

I meant that they could have a "straight man" kind of role, not that they would be acting silly. I was referring to putting serious characters in silly situations.

Then again, this is probably also my own preference for comedy in general coming out.

However Michiru and Haruka did have deformed faces a few times in ep. 180.
They are also normal people, I don't see why they shouldn't behave comically at times.

It would have been a lot more interesting to see the Outers, but SuperS was so different from the manga it would have been very difficult for Toei to bring them back in. Besides, even if they were included they would have out shined the Inners like they did in S. However, I must admit I would like to see the Outers' less serious side because as a serious person myself I have moments where I'm very immature and I believe they have one too because of the funny scenes from Stars and the manga( seeing calm Michiru get so angry over having her lipstick insulted and Haruka's reaction was hilarious).

While I'm more of an Outer senshi fan than an Inner fan, SuperS was good even without them and the SuperS special showed us that Haruka and Michiru WERE going to return and help fight, but felt that the Inners could handle the Dead Moon Circus( a HUGE sign of character development as well because of their somewhat arrogant attitude toward the Inners in S).

i dont know how this would work, since i havent read the manga but it would have been weird just because neptune and uranus are more "serious" shenshi and the inners are not. but if they were in the manga i supposue takeuchi found a way to place them in there without having them stick out. I would agree though with rin! it would have been funny if haruka and fish eye flirted thinking the other was of the opposite sex.
