What do you think the best battle between Sailor Moon and a final boss villian in the anime was?

What an excellent question! For me I like all of the Final Battles and it's kind of hard for me to choose. I do like the battle in Sailor Moon S with Master Pharoah 90 in episode 125.

The battle with Queen Galaxia/Sailor Chaos in episodes 199-200 to me was very memorable to me and the way the battle scene went and the Sailor Stars Opening song in the background it was just amazing . . . hard to explain in words.

The battle in Season One with Queen Beryl/Metallia was wonderful and we see a real battle. The scene after the battle is very poignant and memorable.

i loved the ending to the first season probably the most. it had me in tears, and i've rewatched countless times. the R finale was great too. i seriously need to rewatch that soon ^^

I love the battle with Queen Metallia. It's the most emotional and greatest scenes I have ever watched. I also love the R-movie battle, Moon Revenge is a great song and the battle is also very emotional.

If only we got to SEE it... it sounded like a freaking awesome fight...

Yeah, if we got to actualy see that battle I would probably vote for it, but the director must have tought it was too awesome for us mear mortals, and that our heads would explode from all of the...uh...awesome-ness.

I have yet to see the end of Stars (I've been slacking on my subs recently) so I can't comment on SM vs. Galaxia. So I would go with SM vs. Beryl/Metallia, it was a two-parter emotional roller coster plus everyone died any that kinda negates the whole "Deus ex Machina" quality of the Ginzuishou (AKA the Silver Plot Device).

I loved the SM vs Beryl battle. It was so emotional. THAT's what I call a fight between good and evil.
On the other hand, I really didn't like the Stars battle SM vs. Galaxia/Chaos because it wasn't emotional enough, you know, with all that cheesiness and stuff.

on one hand the Beryl/Metallia final batttle was really awesome and very emotional

on the other hand the Galaxia battle was sweet because it was Usagi that defeated her, not Sailor Moon or Princess Serenity but just good ol' Usagi

I think ultimately I'll have to go with the Beryl/Metallia fight

Sailor Moon/Pharoah 90 at the end of S.

The scene where Sailor Moon is screaming "Chrisis Make-up" over and over to try and become Super is heartbreaking. I cry during that scene every time. And then the end always manages to give me chills.

ESM/Galaxia is a close second, simply becuase I love how they incorporated clips of good Galaxia, I love the Stars song, and Chaos is BAD. ASS.

My favorite final battle is the Serenity vs. Metallia battle. It was just a really emotional fight that still makes me tear up no matter how many times I watch it and it really shows how much Usagi has matured since the beginning of the series. The final battle to R was too similiar to the first season's ending to me, S's battle would've been better if we actually got to see it, Supers was too anticlimatic to me, and I still can't get over Usagi defeating Chaos in Sailor Stars by....touching hands....

My favorite is actually the ending of SuperS. I really don't know why, I just thought the music, the animation, was the best out of all the season enders. Even Stars! I just found it pretty too watch, the storyline wasn't the very best, but I thought it was still good. You all probably think I'm crazy now! haha

!st season final battle is my personal favorite because it was really emotional with the music (particularly when they leave Mercury and also when Mamoru dies and also when they show the world ending in Tokyo) but then the R movie battle imitated it a lot with her turning into the princess, recieving the power of the Senshi and then creating a giant pink bubble. The R battle was okay but they all survived it though and it was also quite similar to Classic. (Other than the dying.) Although I can understand not having them die because that would end up being too repetitive. I thought S was srta emotional but boring because it wasn't a final battle, it was a final flashing lights and blob show. SuperS was acceptable, Stars was realyl good but a tad corny.

Sailor Moon vs Sailor Galaxia/Sailor Chaos episode 199-200 was one of my favourites, due to the song in the background and the way the battle happens.

But the most emotional was Princess Serenity Vs. Beryl.

Its so sad when the senshi die and mamoru. It has made me cry every time i have seen it. So that makes it my favourite.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't S the only time Usagi does not become Serenity in the finale? She doesn't fight as Serenity is SuperS but she becomes her. That sort of makes the S season a little more unique. The S season always seemed really different from the others to me for some reason.

Yes, I do believe you're correct. Maybe that's why I didn't like that one as much. It does seem a bit different from the others.

The ending of R is tad different from all the other times she became Serenity though, because she became Neo-Queen Serenity as oppose to Princess Serenity.

Ehh, SuperS was still my favorite, just because everything about it seemed prettier, lol.

I agree with you except that I personally think the S season was the best season. I think the plot was a little darker and it wasn't bright and happy and goofy all the time like SuperS. I still like SuperS though.

I would have to say that this depends. The classic for me was the most emotional and beatiful, and because it was Usagi first thinking about herself as the princess. The R ending was very good as well. As far as fighting goes as a whole I preferred the batlle against Chaos/Sailor Galaxia. The one that got me the angrist was Nehellenia round 2 because she really tortures usagi. I think all the battles were pretty good. My leats favorite I think was Neo-Queen Serenity and small lady againts Wiseman, I dont know why but it didnt seem lke too much of a battle
