Maybe she finally started pubery..?

Well... she doesn't have boobs in the anime at least. but between R and S she grows like... 2 feet. It's really weird.

PHYSICALLY ,she's like 8, remember? Her father even says she stopped growing at that age. Therefore, her 900 chronological age should have nothing to do with it.

It's just plain weird to see.

well, don't forget, this anime was back in the 90's. styles were kinda weird back then, but i agree, some of those outfits drove me crazy! >.<

A Blue Girl said, it was just the weird fashion sense of the 90s. But, it coulda been worse. For example, they could have had HUGE 80s hair, or those lovely looking 70s bell bottoms. Fantabulous! xD

I thought some of the clothes they wore were cute though. Especially a lot of the outfits they wore in SuperS. Actually, that's a little annoying. A lot of the clothes the girls are wearing in SuperS were quite extravagant looking, particulary things Chibiusa would wear when she wasn't wearing her normal clothes. Why is that only in SuperS they dressed like this?

Chibiusa's growth spurt annoyed me too. It was as if she went from 5 to 10, while everyone else only got a year older.

I read a fanfic that kinda explained it (fanfics explain everything to me so sorrry if i bring them up a bit...). I'll try to find a link for the rest of you laterz.

I think they dressed normally more in SuperS because they were on summer vacation (which would place all of that happening in... a month...)

personally I never liked the idea of her aging stopping at 8 there are just too many problems with this plot point.

First off when she eventually becomes queen its unlikely many people will take her seriously as a ruler and there will likely be lots of usurper/assassination attempts (just look at child rulers in the past on earth)

Secondly what about having an heir? I dont even want to go into the wrongness of that.

I personally think Naoko Takeuchi was trying too hard to make Chibi Usa Magical. But that's just my opinion feel free to disagree.

My theory to this is that she came back when she was older than in R. She came back when she had the ability to be a senshi. (I believe. It's been a while since I've seen it.)

*Shrugs* maybe that's part of the drama. Maybe Chibiusa doesn't GET an heir, or maybe she never gets to properly become Queen. That would make for an excellent story of some sort.

But Endymion never said that Chibi-usa couldn't ever grow again. He just said that one day she stopped growing and didn't age any after that. I think that Chibi-usa stopped growing at such a young age because she was still immature. My theory is that the outward age appearance of the citizens of Crystal Tokyo is a relfection of the maturity of their heart. Remember that Endymion also said that Usagi stopped growing when she turned 22. I think that's a sign that Usagi had reached her maturity as a young adult. She didn't grow anymore after that because her heart was no longer immature. She was no longer a teenage girl; she had become an adult both in her body and her heart, but her heart also wasn't mature enough to grow old enough to become say, an elderly woman. However, I think Usagi will grow more when she becomes even more mature as she gains more life experiences and learns from them. I think the same is true for Chibi-usa, too. Chibi-usa might not be growing anymore now because she's still immature but I think as she starts to mature more she'll start to grow again too, but this is just a theory.

One thing that always annoyed me about the manga was that in the anime the Three Lights are alien girls who turn into boys, which I think is a clever way of hiding their idenity, but in the manga they're girls the entire time who are simply crossdressing as boys. Given how popular the Three Lights are wouldn't somebody eventually notice that they have boobs? And how can the Three Lights interact at school as crossdressing girls without anyone at least suspecting that they aren't what they appear to be? I mean, what do they do when they have to change in the locker rooms before gym? And since Seiya joined the football team, wouldn't at least one person be able to feel his boobs when they tackle him/her sooner or later?
