I'm fairly new here, so here are some questions...sry if these have already been asked
1. I understand what bootleg is, but I've heard some users saying they're fine and others saying they're not so could someone clear this up please...cuz unfortunatly, that's all I can afford right now
2. Where do you guys recommend buying Sailor Moon DVD's? I know there's lots of online places...other than amazon and ebay though plz
3. Are original Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon R the only seasons not available as bilingual languages? Cuz I've only found them in Japanese...(not that that's a bad thing though lol

Hi! Here are the answers to your questions:
1) I own a bootleg copy of all 5 seasons of Sailor Moon and for me the DVDS are EXCELLENT! On the Sailor Moon S DVD sometimes there are some subtitles missing (mostly towards the opening and the ending theme songs near the end of the episode) but overall the sound and picture quality are great. The first two seasons of Sailor Moon (SM Classic & SMR DVDS) doesn't have the best sound quality but that's how the original transfers were so that shouldn't be a huge concern.
2) I recommend buying Sailor Moon DVDS on these websites:
www.sailor-moon-shop.com and
www.sailormoonshop.com (go on this website to get the Sailor Moon SuperS Specials--the 5 season SM Collection cost WAY TOO MUCH!! And Amazon.com, SM DVDS cost too much too.
3) Sailor Moon Classic & SMR are the only seasons not available in bilingual languages. Sailor Stars is not available in this format either but as you probably already know Sailor Stars hasn't been dubbed into English.
Hope this helps!

The reason some people are against bootlegs is becuase it is, technically, illegal. They are illegal copies of the original show, redistributed for cheaper. That's why several people are against it.
But it's a personal choice. A lot of peopl eon these forums own bootlegs, and it's really all down to how much you want to spend, and if you decide to buy bootleg, make sure you buy good quality DVDs becuase some bootlegs are horrid quality.

R and Classic WERE available through boxset (as found here:
http://www.rightstuf.com/1-800-338-6827 ... 0495/4/0/0 ) however, they are no longer available. You may be able to find some on EBAY, but I don't think any retailers sell them anymore due to rights and such.
Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

I was going to buy my Sailor Moon DVDS from animecollector.com but they told me that they don't accept money order which is the only payment that I will use but I think that website is a good one to buy SM S from. And yes it is complete and uncut.

I think animefirst.com has the cheapest Sailor Moon bootleg dvds online. Believe, I have been searching for the cheapest site that sells the Complete serie of Sailor Moon dvds as a set. I have looked through ebay, and other sites and I think animefirst has the cheapest one.
I bought mine off ebay when I couldn't afford to buy the U.S. version since they are so freaking hard to find. But just a week ago, I was able to get the U.S. uncut version at a very great price!
I think the bootleg version is not that bad but remember when buying the bootleg or the imported version, the episodes tends to skips or sometimes one small part of an episode might be messed up. Mine did on of my Sailor Moon Sailor Star discs....where the Sailor Scouts were getting killed......o well... Hope this helps! ^^

Pity VKLL closed his site, you could've gotten the Stars DVDs there.
The SS Specials, Ami-chan no Hatsukoi, and about half of Stars is available through Animesuki. Though you'll need a good connection or a lot of patience.
