Never Seen It

Post by lisalover1 » Mon Jul 31, 2006 3:49 pm

I have never seen Sailor Moon. As I can see by all the members on this forum, it really is a good show. This doesn't make any significance, but I know about the 1st season because there is a Simpsons fanscript that is a parody of the 1st season, so I know the basic plot. Anyway, I will probably download some episodes soon. Any suggestions to the better episodes?

Well, if you want to avoid filler episodes I suggest using this as a guide. It tells what important events happen in which episodes.

If you like the series, go try to see the LA series and ready the manga! :D

Hmm... Episode 10 looks good... But I'm fire-crazy, so that makes sense.

It's best if you start from episode one. ^^; Watching them out of order isn't a very good idea unless you finished S and are watching early SuperS, which you can probably watch out of order.

I saw the script. I pretty much get the storyline. I got the script here: http://www.simpworks.com/steven/simpmoon.htm[/url] If someone could look at it, and tell me if it's basically the right storyline? Thanks.

>>>As it's name implies, the Silver Millennium ruled for over a thousand years...
Who knows.
>>>Each planet in the system had a royal family of it's own, and the eldest daughters of these families

Maybe, but we're never told that- though in the manga they were princesses...

>>>Earth did not have a Senshi, and it's Prince Endymion was on the moon attempting to woo Princess Serenity

... Er, basically, but he did go off to fight. xDD;
Yeah, the intro-thingy was pretty much right. ^^

Yeah, but you really should watch the first episode. It makes the final two episodes of Classic that much more... special? Yeah.
Also I reccomend episodes episodes 34 and 35, 'cause that's when they find out Moon's the Princess (duh...) Also, Zoisite dies. Aww, Zoisite.

31 is hillarious because it's just so RANDOM. It mostly centers around Luna and a fat cat named Rhett Butler. Lots of Gone With the Wind references and the show even parodies itself in it. xD

Yeah, I wouldn't go by the simpsons fan-parody script. The basic story is the same, but honestly, why take interest in a show if you're not going to see it from the beginning? You might as well just go all the way. It's much better if you see it from the beginning, and actually get involved with the characters so you can develop good opinions.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

I know. It's like that all the time. I never completely trust a script that is a parody. But, I believe the base story. And the 1st episode Sounds good. I'll look for it on my downloading software.

Hell yeah. It's a bad idea to skip a lot of episodes just because you know the basic storyline. The smaller details contribute just as much.

I suggest that you start watching Sailor Moon by watching the 1st season, first episode and work your way throughout that season until the last episode. The first season is a very important season. Dr. Casey talks about "smaller details" and getting to know the characters and their personalities and the way they live contributes to the show in a big way.

Earth did not have a Senshi, and it's Prince Endymion was on the moon attempting to woo Princess Serenity, so Earth fell and the revolt quickly spread to the Moon.
Here's a more accurate picture of what happend (to the best of my knowledge):

The takeover of Earth was happening slowly, and Prince Endymion went to the moon to seek assistance. He was turned down by Queen Serenity, because she felt that the matters of the Earth Kingdom were not her problem (and tense relations between the Moon and Earth IIRC).

Endymion went to Princess Serenity (his girlfriend) to beg for help and impress upon her the danger Beryl posed to both the Earth and Moon. However before "negotiations" were finished Beryl officially took over the Earth Kingdom and renamed it the Dark Kingdom.

Using Queen Metallia's power she instantly sent the Dark Kingdom military to the moon and tried a more traditional coup d'etat. The Senshi, Endymion, and the moon's military fought the Dark Kingdom and...well you all know the rest.
The power of love conquers all...except a nuclear hypocenter.
