Nephrite at least managed to get past his Beryl infatuation and create a life for himself (after he 'died' ironically (i think) enough)).
even though Jadeite was Beryl's bitch, he at least managed to snag just a little bit at the end

Finished PGSM, and yes, it was awesome, but I have one lingering question.
So, after Endymion dies and Princess Serenity gets so sad that she throws a hissy fit that ends the world, then fixes it, but she realizes she may have overreacted just a little, Miniko is alive and the Shitennou convince Mamoru to take part in the rewind, does that mean Nephrite was never "killed" and thus, never bumped into Motoki, never worked at the Crown, never ate Ami's "awful" cookies that he couldn't have enough of, and never tried to get Ami a gift as a thank you for the cookies? If so, then Boo-urns, I say! Boo-urns!
It's not too wierd considering the same thing happened in Classic. Naru never fell in love with Nephrite, Ryo never met Ami (or at least not that we know of)

I've just started watching PGSM - loving it very much so far! Now I can definately see what everyone's been raving on about. It's just so....awesome! It's sort of like a dream to see Sailor Moon in live action, now that I think about it. Very neat indeed!
Plus I'm loving the relationship between Usagi and her Mom - the first scene where they're watching Sailor V on tv is adorable!

Sailormoon Live Action
What's your opinion? For me its out of the common asians act sailor senshi. In anime characters are more likely to white race.
We already have a Live Action Sailormoon topic.

And really, why shouldn't we be afraid? In case you haven't heard, life is terminal. Cigarettes will kill you. So will your cellphone. Your car is a deadly weapon and alcohol is a quiet killer. Don't lick the lead-based paint on the walls. Don't lick the back of a postage stamp and certainly don't lick any strangers! That will bring you down quickly indeed. Don't drink the water but don't drink less than eight glasses a day. Your enviroment is toxic, your natural resources are dwindling, your days are numbered, but what ever you do, don't panic! The stress, don't you know, will kill you.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. That was the title of the Live Action Sailor Moon series.

oh my goodness I heard about this series back when it first came out but I was really weirded out by a live action version of my favorite anime so I didn't try to look it up. But I've been hearing so many people praising it on here that I became intrigued, so...out of morbid curiosity I checked it out on youtube, and I'm very addicted to it now
.
I came in there with a pretty ambivalent attitude and I was in for a pleasant shock. The show is actually very cute and charming, and I like how the plots are set-up. Even though I already know the story I find my self suspenseful on how things are going to play out, since PGSM seems to be doing their own spin on things and adding there own twists and turns. And its following the manga story line which I've never read so its all very fresh and new to me. With in the last few days I've been watching none stop and I just finished act 11
I can't wait to see act 12!
And I have to say I like the way the characters are portrayed in this version than even the anime. Especially Mercury, I've never been a big fan of mercury because I was annoyed with her hypocritical attitude in the anime, but I like much better in this series and think she is very cute and sweet.
And Usagi is just cute and adorable, and she isn;'t nearly as annoying and flaky as she portrayed in the anime. I like how this series makes her extroverted, eager, and cute not babyish, whinny, or dumb. I even find the times when Usagi has a typical "Usagi moment" to be less annoying and better handled with out making her look like a total dolt like it does in the anime.
I even like the fact that Usagi and every one else have black hair and Japanese features when in civilian form and then get their multi colored hair when they transform. Some how its much more fitting and makes better sense for them to look so radically different while transformed. And the girl who plays Usagi has such beautiful black hair, she even pulls off the blond hair with the adongos very well.
What I didn't like so much was how this series seems to be following the anime and making Mamoru rude and insulting to Usagi even after their initial meeting. nd it appears:
he only take Usagi seriously and starts to be more respectful to her only after he finds out she is Sailor Moon
but other than that I like how Mamoru is handled in this series.

I agree with you completely Passion (is your username a reference to Utada Hikaru's song...which is awesome and seems to really match with PGSM but not really the anime...hmmm...).
Anyway, when I finally decided to watch the first episode, I thought it was kind of cute and fairly good but not enough to get me to watch it. Then several months later (a few days ago actually) I decided to watch some more and get a better taste and now I'm hooked. In fact, if I didn't have classes I would probably have finished the whole series by now. The show is in no way fatigueing like the anime can get. I could probably watch 10 episode in one sitting (relatively speaking).
This is not like the anime. The characters feel real (and realistic) and are more developed. The episodes do not suffer from that monster-of-the-day syndrome so prevalent in the anime. Sure there is usually a youma that is destroyed in most episodes but the main point (or points really) of an episode revolves around the characters themselves. What makes this show so much more interesting (that I will point in spoilers here)
is that each scout is a separate complex person with their own motivations and each character is also being developed more. This show doesn't focus too much on Usagi like the anime did. In fact, each character is going on their own path instead of remaining one combined team most of the time. I also have to keep up with who knows what and which character knows nothing about certain events.
Now onto Act 22.
Edit: FINISHED!!!
I am fatigued from having watched SM from 39 to 49 plus 2 special acts. And I don't think I can even look at the subbed anime. The best SM (IMHO) of all series (can't for manga or stars but probably them as well). SUPER addictive, high engrossing (even when not watching), and waayyyy up on my favorite shows list (if I had ever bothered to think of one). Frankly, this show (not visually - which is easily ignored) seems to be on a much more mature level than even the subbed anime.
Hmmm....I wonder why there aren't more music videos for this show. Or maybe I just need to expand my youtube search. Anyway, later.

PGSM Likes/Dislikes
I Found one topic(well merged) topic on PGSM but it was too much to read to see if somewhere this was discussed, Things about PGSM that you liked and disliked or stuff that stuck out to you or why you liked it and didnt.
Now to get this started!
Likes - The Character development, more realistic life situations, Tuxedo Mask isnt so helpless and by the Movie he's given powers and is an excellent fighter, Tuxedo mask and his Generals remind me of Male counterparts to the Senshi, finally giving me the "Men can be as strong as a senshi" feeling. I liked the twist with the Ginzuishou and how Rei an Usagi dont fight so damn much.
Dislikes - Sailor.... *twitch* Luna... Dont get me wrong, i like the idea of a Sailor Luna, but, i dont like that they gave the role to a child, in the manga and movie it is shown quite clearly shes an adult or atleast the same age as the other girls.
I also disliked how much that changed Minako, first she was a happy girl although having a depressing past, remained cheerful.
In PGSM you're lucky to see a smile and shes SOO Bitchy to Rei(even if it does develope their friendship shes a bitch)
Next, (Back to the Movie) How when the world is reborn, the girls all lose their ability to transform EXCEPT SAILOR LUNA! UGH! WHY!?
oh, and how they changed Motoki into a geek *gag*
But yes, I Hope this is okay for a new topic
and i am extremly sorry if this is already somewhere on here but i completely missed it.
MUWAHAHA! PGSM RULES!.. >_> yeah

Part of the rules of this forum is to find out if a topic contains the material you wish to discuss. If it's "too much" for you to bother to read, then don't bother creating a topic if you aren't sure the material already exists.
The already existing PGSM topic pretty much covers all things PGSM, so i'm merging your topic with that one.

Sailor Luna was one of the number one reasons I stopped watching. I couldn't take it. She was annoying, pointless, and stupid.

I enjoyed the characterization of all the inners and mamoru. I think they picked good people to represent the characters, with the small exception being Minako, I think. I think Minako was a little too emo and bitchy for my taste.

hmm. I rather liked Minako in PGSM, she actually came across to me as the actual leader of the sailor senshi from the past that she is portrayed to be in the orginal story . Sure she was a bitch and I disliked her holier-than-thou attitude at times but she was a strong and capable reprentation of Sailor Venus that I'm not used too.
Maybe I'm making this assumption based on the fact that in most versions that I've seen Sailor Venus in, she is made out to be this overly ditzy blond stero-type that I can't take seriously as the orginal leader of the Sailor senshi. PGSM's take on her was very diffrent and I rather liked it.

Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience

Now that I have complete the epic task of reading all the previous post, I would like to throw in my two cents.
I first saw this series when I was in college, and I first thought was this is a really well made fan video, and when the guy who brought to our club said it was a real show I was a bit floored. Being the Sailor Moon fan that I was I went ahead and started watching it and in the end found it to be very entertaining.
Final Note I can now safely fantasize about Miyuu Sawai and Ayaka Komatsu as both are now of age LOL, also I love watching Keiko Kitagawa facial expressions as they perfectly match her mood.

So..do you think that there's romantic subtext between Rei and Minako in this version of Sailor Moon? When I first watched it, I seriously thought that they are supposed to be a canon couple. But I'm not so sure now.
PGSM could have been so much better if it hadn't become so WTF in the end. Sailor Luna annoys me so much.
How come no one notices or cares that a blue-haired kid is suddenly living with Usagi?!
I actually like this Motoki though.
