Are any parts of the series still "alive?"

Personally, I was mad that DBZ got all the attention when that and Sailor Moon were on a few years ago. Only little boys liked it (atleast where I lived) and it was way too repetitive in my opinion. Sailor Moon isn't gone until we start believing it can't come back. She will return because she believes in this world, this world everyone tried to protect!

Even though I think SM (anime series) should not have any more seasons if there was another series it should focus more on the future in Crystal Tokyo with Neo-Queen Serenity. I hear alot of SM fans talk about wanting another SM series about Chibi-Usa as the next Queen and her group of Sailor Senshi but I think if there was another series like that I don't think it would be liked as much. There are some fans who don't like Chibi-Usa so having a series with her as the next Queen would probably make fans dislike her more.

Neo-Queen Serenity may well be immortal--it's kinda vague. However, were she to die or abdicate, my guess would be that Chibiusa would become Queen Serenity the Third.

Be careful with this one, there is a bit of a pun involved. Dr. Spooner described his visit to a castle: "In the center of the fortress was the Palace Court. The gated entrance to this area was the court palace."

I agree with Starscream that new interpretations are what is needed to revive Sailor Moon fandom. I was extremely skeptical about the live-action show, but was amazed at how tight the story was. I know this isn't a PGSM thread, so I'll be brief on it, but in my mind it was a success and I am glad it was produced (the live-action specials, on the other hand, are sins of the worst kind).
Even if Sailor Moon goes dormant for several years, I don't doubt its ability to resurrect unexpectedly.

I think that Toei has recognized that this cash-cow needs a break from the milking.
It's definitely one of their most successful properties, but if they go too fast their is a chance of "overload" and people will be turned off by it. Plus giving the series a break gives people time to work on other things and get new experiences; thus they can bring new ideas back to the series and keep it fresh.
However, the series is finished. All of the anime arcs have been based of the manga, so unless more manga arcs are made its doubtful that a new anime arc will be produced.
Also lets remember what happened to other good series that run too long or come back, the new stuff usually sucks (Transformers [last 2 or 3 incarnations], G.I.Joe [Sigma 6], etc.).
I would like to see an OVA of the individual senshi (like they did with Ami-chan's first love), or what happened in the distant past (Moon and Earth Kingdoms) or the far future (Neo-Crystal Tokyo).
Also on the off chance they do produce a new anime arc, I hope they don't use the "Monster of the Day" format. Hey! What about producing an anime that's completely faithful to the manga? I think that would be a great idea.

That would be great to see an anime based completely of the manga. Although there are some episodes that do come pretty close to being like certain manga acts. But that's a brilliant idea. Plus, it wouldn't be like Transformers and what-not creating a completely new series (if that makes sense). That is the most brilliant idea. You are a brilliant person. May your brilliance shine forever more!

I think the current music is too iconic to leave out. There would probably be some new music, but I think all of the old stuff would make an appearance one way or the other. Most likely in remix form.sailorperkytoot123 wrote:Along with animation, would they change the musical score too? Possibly create some new songs? Or would they use Moonlight Densetsu and all those others again? New music would be cool, but when I think about Sailor Moon anime, I think Moonlight Densetsu.

I dunno. I'm just the type who doesn't care for new generation cartoons. I do'nt like any of the newer creations of older cartoons...TMNT, for example. I used to love that cartoon. But the new one..*shudder* I don't lik ethe character designs and how everything is "omg new technology" and they add all kinds of things that weren't even close to the original. I'm the traditionalist types who likes things to just stay and be appreciated for what they are.
Take Slayers, my favorite anime. Yes, it's older like Sailor Moon, but I adore everything about it. When the newer OAV came out a few years ago, I did not care for the fact that it was all CG instead of hand drawn like the older show. Yes, it was shiny and pretty and new, but it just wasn't Slayers , if that makes any sense. The character designs were different, and I didn't like that everybody looked younger. There were special effects and shiny shit thrown everywhere, and it just made it flashy instead of wholly enjoyable.
I wouldn't want to see Sailor Moon reanimated. I wouldn't want it to become another flashy, special effects CG show catering to a current generation whose attention span is shorter and who wants to see nothing more than cool battle scenes and sparkly outfits.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

I also think that is a great idea! I don't think they should really make a series out of it though. I think they should make five animated movies, of course, these movies would be a lot longer than the ones that came out with the series. One movie dedicated to each arc. Probably never gonna happen, but that's something I've been wanting to see for a while. If they couldn't get all the original Seiyuu though, I wouldn't want them to do it.Gamer8585 wrote:

I think there should be a full length movie on each of the Sailor Senshi. We already have one on Ami Mizuno. I would like to see a film, one on Rei, another on Minako, etc.
Since some fans of SM Stars didn't like the ending (I did though), maybe there should be a film about Mamoru & Usagi getting married.
Does anyone think there should be another SM series but one that takes place in Crystal Tokyo?

I think a series about how the Great Ice came about and it should end with the culmination of Crystal Tokyo
Favorite Senshi: Saturn and Jupiter
