Ok, this is what I thought up when I was EXTREMELY bored during winter break last year. I'll go over how I thought the characters would have been. Sorry this is so long. I did trim it down a lot.
Well, the Jedite arc would have been pretty much the same, but I would have introduced Setsuna in the first episode. She would have owned a shop that Usagi would have stumbled into by accident which would be decorated with clocks covering all four walls and all of them on the same exact time. (Maybe she owns a clock shop?) Usagi would find her a bit eccentric but fascinating. There would be some sort of hint that Setsuna was connected to her somehow. She would reoccur in many episodes before she is revealed to be Sailor Pluto.
Mamoru would be more like his PGSM counterpart, and his and Usagi's story would be similur to it.
Ami would pretty much be the same, but her attacks would also be more speed based. She would also act a lot more like her PGSM counterpart.
I would keep Rei the same, but not have her so boy crazy.
Michiru would show up in the first episode after the Jedite arc. She would be an almost famous young violinist that everyone seems to have heard of except Usagi. Somehow, Usagi would conviently run into her and she would find Michiru admirable. After she leaves Michiru, some girls would warn Usagi that Michiru isn't all that friendly but Usagi doesn't believe them. Monster of the day attacks, and Michiru is found out to be Sailor Neptune. It would be cool if Neptune had a Trident Staff. Battle ends, but Michiru refuses to ever be Sailor Neptune again. Next episode deals with Usagi, Rei, and Ami trying to convince Michiru to be Sailor Neptune and hostility forms between Rei and Michiru which carries on through most of the series. Luna scolds Michiru telling her that if she never wanted to be a senshi, then she never should have transformed the first time. Michiru is sort of convinced at the end of the episode but only because she feels like she has to.
Hotaru would be introduced in the middle of the Neprite arc as a sickly girl who Usagi feels sorry for and is always kind to. She would be a reoccuring character and not revealed to be Saturn till later in the series. We would find out that she lives with her dad who's a scientist and has employed several women to work for him. (Witches 5, Kaolinite) They wouldn't be evil like in S, but would be more like older sisters to Hotaru. Kaolinite would be constantly flirting with her dad which would make Hotaru angry, espeically when he returns the feelings. The Dark Kingdom would attack killing everyone in the house, except for Hotaru who would be saved at the last second by Sailor Pluto. It would be hinted that she may be the moon princess.
Haruka would be introduced towards the end of the Neprite arc at a race track. Usagi would find "him" extremely cute while Michiru would think "he" was just some obnoxious guy. Later, Michiru would suddenly become very interested in Haruka, because off screen, she found out he was a she. Michiru would tell her how she feels, but Haruka would apologize saying that she was actually a girl. Michiru would say she knew, but Haruka would still reject her not feeling comfortable enough with her sexuality There would be hints that she feels the same way about Michiru. Of course, monster attacks, and Sailor Moon shows up, but only to start losing immediately. Haruka would be found out to be Sailor Uranus, this is also where the audience finds out that she's really a girl. Luna is about to give her the pen, when Michiru shows up, like in S, telling her that if she touches the pen, her life will change forever. She transforms into Neptune and starts to fight, but starts losing almost immediately. Haruka grabs the pen and transforms and helps Neptune and Moon defeat the youma. Episode would end with Haruka and Michiru talking intimately and Usagi not getting it.
Makoto would meet Usagi the same way but she would have a much worse reputation than the anime portrays. Haruka would become very over protective and warn Usagi to stay from her, but she wouldn't listen. There would be tension between Makoto and Haruka and they would even get into a fist fight. Haruka would win and warn her to stay away from Usagi. Makoto would be found out to be Sailor Jupiter and her attacks would be much stronger than they are portrayed to be. (Come on, she Sailor Jupiter!) Haruka would spend the next few episodes keeping her in line, and it would be found out that Makoto likes to cook and clean.
Minako would be much more serious. Through out the series, Usagi would basically worship Sailor V like she already does and would be ecstatic when she finds out she's Sailor Venus. Minako would be an awesome Senshi, but not so much as a civillian and wouldn't be good at doing ordinary stuff, which would put her in a lot of uncomfortable situations. She would be very dedicated to protecting Usagi and would be the last to be killed in the final episodes.
Pluto and Saturn would show up in the episode where Usagi was revealed to be the Moon Princess. They would show up as Setsuna and Hotaru and transform right in front of them and save then from Kunzite. Pluto would explain that she was the time guardian and that Saturn was not supposed to be awaken, but will be used in extreme circumstances. If the Dark Kingdom won, Saturn would bring ruin to the world because it would be better than living under Queen Metalia's rule. The reason that the Dark Kingdom attacked her earlier in the season was that they wanted to get rid of her of course. She would be targeted through much of the rest of the episodes and would mostly be kept hidden.
Of course there was more, but this is probably way to long.
