Someone asked me why the enemy doesn't attack her while she's transforming because she takes so long. I explained to them that her transformation actually only takes a second but they make it long in the show for visual purposes. It wouldn't be as cool if she just automatically changed from Usagi to Sailor Moon in one second.

My mother is a huge anime hater, and I also think she's gotten the impression that I'm a whore, not realizing I get most animes for their stories and can't help that there's fan service. This was why she was happy when I picked up Sailor Moon, thinking it would be just like the show I watched as a kid.
Mom: (walks into the room while I'm listen to the subbed version): Can you even understand what they're saying?
Me: No, but I have subtitles.
Mom: Oh. (stays and looks at the show for awhile when Haruka and Michiru show up) He's sort of good looking.
Me: That's a girl, and that's her girlfriend. (I was trying to get her out of the room)
Mom: Is that what this show is about in Japan?! Is there something you want to tell me?
Me: Just a second, Dr. Tomoe is on. *huge grin* Erm, I like men? (I tried to explain the show to her and that Haruka and Michiru never really "do" anything on screen, and that they're relationship is very sweet, but my mother isn't the brightest bulb in the box)
Yeah... now my mother thinks I hit for the same team, but I couldn't care less, because I'm not interested in either gender.

STAGE OUT!!!
My Mom encoursages me to watch lesbian filled television. But that's another story
I remember being about 8 when Sailot Moon S started airing and at that point I became a HUGE fan of the show. Alot of kids asked me things...
-One times a group of girls asked me what type of rings the Senshi wore. Apparently they were under the impression that Captain Planet and Sailor Moon had something in common.
-A boy asked me who Chibi-Chibi was once also, and came to the conclusion that Chibi-Chibi was Sailor Mar's daughter when I didn't answer... I don't know either, I just nodded.

Hm, let's see. My best friend whom I had convinced in watching Sailor Moon and now has quite some knowledge about it, had asked me while watching something which I'd somehow found to be hilarious.
She didn't know much at the time she became hooked on it. When Tuxedo Mask entered a specific scene, she asked:
"Man, why does he have to climb a tall building or crane first, then give a dumb speech and none of the enemies are attacking? And does this guy have a rose preference? Weird..."
I didn't answer. ^^°

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

When I first got hooked on Sailor Moon, I would watch it in the living room where my mom could see it. Many of her questions were:
"Why doesn't she stop crying? Is that all she does?"
Me in defence:"She gets better!"
"Well, she's still a crybaby."
One my friends likes Sailor Moon as well and we were arguing on wether or not Fish Eye was a woman since she didn't watch the originals on the DVDs I let her borrow. We would argue in the band room and all the while people would go, "WHAT ARE YOU GUYS TALKING ABOUT?!"

LMAO that was always amusing in high school. Two friends of mine liked Sailor Moon, but had only seen the dub. So I was explaining Chibi Chibi and the Starlights in the middle of choir, and everybody else was like "WTF?!"Hobbes wrote:

This story doesn't have to do with watching the show, but related music. I have tons of songs on Lappie that I listen to constantly while I write my stories. I share a computer room with my future father-in-law. I was listening to Shiokaze ni Nosete, by Ogata Megumi quietly as i was writing. Well, finally I turned into the fact that he was whistling along with the song! I think I listen to it too much........

This has nothing to do with sailor moon. Please adhere to the topics, and post related content, please.

I remember one from a friend of a friend in high school. We were in a crowd of a few people having a conversation, and it kinda segued into Sailormoon. Anyway, he asks:
Friend's friend (FF): "They're all lesbians (the Sailor Senshi), right?"
Me: "No, not really all, per se. Two of them are..."
*everyone's ears perk up*
Me: "...but they never really do anything on-screen."
*everyone groans dissappointedly*
Me: "Sorry to disappoint you."
I figured, what with all the adult sites floating around nowadays, he just got the wrong impression somehow... ^_^

Three quotes I like:
"Smart. Beautiful. Mercurius Twin."
- The "Sloganize" website
"Stop that, you! You're an accessory."
-Tsukino Usagi (to Luna, ep. 6)
"Stop the clapping! YOU'LL KILL US ALL!!"
- Professor Frink

We all get that question from relatives or friends.
"she looks exactly the same as Sailor Moon when she isn't transformed..."
yeah, but it's an anime series! The rules of this world don't apply to Sailor Moon's world. In Sailor Moon the characters stay looking the same for the audience's sake. It would get too confusing after a while of having everyone in the show having a different look when transformed...
that's all I'm going to say for now... lol

Poor Tuxedo Mask... he has the tough job of doing all that just to give the Sailor Soldiers a 'lil moral support. Hope he gets paid by the minute.Kasumi wrote:"Man, why does he have to climb a tall building or crane first, then give a dumb speech and none of the enemies are attacking? My little god-sister lives on a military base in Japan, and we were visiting her. She obviously speaks Japanese along with English. I was watching my subtitled version of Black Dream Hole (I still need the subs sometimes) in my guestroom when she walks right by the door. Unfortunatly it was the part where Neptune says to Uranus there are things adults get to do in bed. My god-sister asked "Like what?" I paused the DVD and was forced to begin my sentence with "When a mommy and a daddy love eachother VERY much..."
OMG I hated that!

From my dad:
Pointing at the bad guy on the tv during Sailor Moon:
"Is she a bad guy?"
I think he say's that for every show that he catches when I'm watching my tv.

I reject your reality, and substitute my own. Adam Savage.
Adam: I think this is the strangest position I''ve ever been in on this show.
Kari: [quietly] Notice how he qualifies it with "on this show".
MythBusters.
