funny sailormoon questions from non fans

this happened a while ago when iwas watching sailor moon R movie, but i was watching the dub version, and serena was wailing in that awful voice, and my mom comes into the room, adn shuts off the tape, then says,
"omg, that girl was so annoying!" i just laughed

then a few weeks ago, i was watching R season, an episode with moonlight knight, with my friend whose only seen the first scene.

"so, who do you think that is?" i ask her.
"mamo-chan's secret lover?"
heh, that'd be funny!

then a few years ago, i was watching the dub, i can't remember which episode, but as you know in the dub when they scream it sounds kinda like porn, lol. but my mom comes in, and checks the computer, and asks
"are you watching japanese porn?"
"NO mom, it's sailor moon?"
"Is it sailor moon porn?"
"NO!"

We had a radio at my bank branch for a while and we were trying to just play instrumental music in the branch. I burned a CD of instrumental music. Most of the tracks were from the Sailor Moon musicals. One of the bankers actually liked the music. After a day or two, they asked if this music was from some girl band from Japan they had heard about. I told them no. (when I told them it was from Sailor Moon musicals, the other banker immediately disliked it and took the CD out because he has this Eddie is always right mentality and I find ways to criticize that).

My friend Lauren hasn't ever watched Sailor Moon before (the heathen...j/k), so I decided to show her a few pictures of it, through the instant messenger.

Her question? "omg, are they just like the powerpuff girls?" LMAO, not really, but okay! xD

I was watching a Stars episode the other day and my husband walked into the room during Usagi's transformation sequence. He read the subtitles and said, "Moon Eternal, Make-up? How can her makeup be eternal?"

Those of you who have younger (or maybe even older) siblings will know how nosy they can be. My sister always tries to nosy at what websites i'm on, and, after becoming reaquainted with sailor moon (the original) at the beginning of the year, I began talking to my sister, also an anime fan, about it. Unfortunately she is very questionative and makes me explain everything she doesn't understand about the show.

I was watching episode 200 when my sister came over and said "Is she naked?" Very loud. I was embarrassed as my parents were in the room and if they had overheard would most likely question what I was watching.

She also questions me on the the starlights "Are they men or women???" I explained it to her but she still ponders.

She also argues that the relationship between Chibi-usa and Elios is weird.

Uh, siblings.

I never read the manga but I know in the anime Chibi-Usa is an only child they state that a few times in stars. [/spoiler]

yeah I thought you meant the show and not your actual sibling sorry lol.

oh and I realised there was a bit of a spoiler in my response for those who havent seen stars so I fixed that.

Anyway back on topic my sister-in-law's mother saw an episode of sailormoon s and asked if Uranus and Neptune were lovers or something, so my sister-in-law said "Nope their just cousins" and we all laughed and winked at each other

When I was a youngin' my grandparents wouldnt let me watch Sailor Moon because they thought it was "Witchcraft".

Needless to say I got older and started watching it anyway, one day my grandfather came in my room during the transforming and said:
Him: What are you watching?
Me: Sailor moon
Him: Why is she naked?
Me: shes as naked as a barbie doll
Him: shes anatomically correct right?
Me:

........... *just... blank...*.....

And another time, my grandmother came in this time:

*Tuxedo mask throws rose*
Grandmother: why a rose?
Me: Dunno
*Tuxedo mask gives speech*
Grandmother: Is that all he does..?... Throw a rose and give a speech?
Me: Basically
Grandmother: Jeez, someone should teach that poor man what an A K 47 is.
*Grandmother exits the scene just as tuxedo mask is walking away*

ok now I have an image of tuxedo mask coming up to the monster of the day and saying "Say hello to my little friend." and then pulling out an A K 47 and shooting a bunch of rose shaped bullets.

oh my gosh! i had the same experience. i was watching the dubbed version of the part where Neptune is getting shot down trying to save Uranus. Seriously, it sounds like porno.

I was watching sailor moon S (( subbed)) with my eight year old nephew. He likes it and his mother approves since it helps his reading skills (( all those subtitles!)) well anyway the monster-of-the-day pops in and sailor moon is in a bind...and as usual Tuxedo mask pops in and does his normal routine. My nephew turns to me and said " If some some strange guy dressed like tap dancer was throwing roses at me I would be sacred too!" I also remember him saying when he first saw chibi usa " why are her eyes red she needs visine! "
