On my SuperS Boxset...
It says Remliss on the subtitles. I know that someone at SMU said that it's Geneon who did that. I know that. But, my problem is that when I'm watching SuperS in Japanese they say Remliss when they are calling out the Lemures. Is Remliss the Japanese translation of Lemures? I am confused so if anyone could Help me it will be appreciated. Thanks in Advance.
We have a snippet about that on our site:

Lemures can very well be heard as Remliss, becuase the japanese pronunciation of the "L" sound usually comes off sounding like an "R". (Peruru can sound like Pelulu, English can sound like Engrish, etc). However, for the DVD to sub it as "Remliss" is wrong, for the reasons above. Lemures is an actual word, while Remliss is not.Speaking of the lemures....Apparently they've been renamed "Remliss". Well, if you look at it from a translation standpoint, that's fine.....but the only problem is that "Lemures" is an actual word while "Remliss" is not. Don't believe me? Go to www.dictionary.com to find out for yourself! Also, there is NO SUCH THING AS A "Lemure"! The word is ALWAYS plural. As weird as it sounds, a single monster is called a "Lemures" while a group of the monsters are also called "Lemures".
Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

possibly spoiler here so
I liked them being called remless because there is a play on words there. REM sleep is if Im not mistaken the sleep where dreams occur and the Remless were people who had their dream mirrors permanently removed so they became dreamless and therefore remless. Of course I could be completely silly here or totaly wrong with my facts, but I though this was neat.
Yeah I though Remless (as in no REM (Rapid Eye Movement [stage of sleep that dreams occur in])) made sense espicaly after learining about the orgin of Nehelenia and the Dead Moon Circus.
I had no idea that they were saying Lemures. I guess both are good, but I think that Remless is a little more topical, and Lemures is almost too generic of a term (just scary evil spirts); they might as well have just reused Yōma (monster/demon).
