sailor moon movie cast ideas

If a live action Sailor Moon movie was made in America, who do y'all think should play the characters? I made a list of a Sailor Moon cast I'd like to see, but I wanna know what everyone else here has to say.

Usagi/Sailor Moon: hmm...this was hard, but I'd have to say Micsha Barton.

Mina/Sailor Venus: Lindsay Lohan...don't hate, she's a good actress in my opinion

Rei/Sailor Mars: Devon Aoki (she was the Asian hooker in Sin City)

Ami/Sailor Mercury: Alexis Bledel

Makoto/Sailor Jupiter: Keira Knightly

Mamoru/Tuxedo Kamen: Hayden Christensen...so...freaking...hot...

I'm not really sure for most of of the outer senshi, but I think Angelina Jolie would be an awesome (and absolutely gorgeous!) Sailor Pluto.

Wouldn't it be rather a problem to have adults playing 13-16 year olds? That could be even more butchered than the dub! *lol*

I remember back in 1999 reading all these pages on the net about an American-made Sailor Moon movie that was going to be produced but ended up getting scrapped. I remember how excited I was too before I realized that it was scrapped/just a stupid rumor. *sigh*

But about adults playing them, I really don't see why they couldn't pull it off...all the people who played high school seniors in Grease were nearly 30 (one of them WAS 30) and it seemed to work out just fine.

There's a difference between a high school senior, who is generally about 18 years old, and a child in junior high, who is generally about 13. HUGE difference there.

That's true...I keep forgetting just how young the Sailor Moon characters are because they really just never seemed to appear that young to me. You're right though.

But what about PGSM? I have yet to see it, but are all those actresses the right ages/around the right age?

In my personal opinion, since in the series the girls all appear older anyways, I'm not sure it would be too far of a stretch for and 18 year old you play the. They look like they could be there late teens anyways in the anime.

They are played by actresses around 17/18 years old. But again..that's a huge difference between that and 30 years old. I can see an 18 year old playing the senshi..but not some 30 year old actress.

If Hollywood was to make a Sailor Moon Movie who would you think will best fit to play each characters role.

Geena Davis thought about it years ago and volunteered to play Queen Beryl, I think she would be perfect for the role.

Kirsten Dunst admiited to being a Sailor Moonholic

so I think she'll do fine to play Usagi-san, although I admit she's better playing other roles like Minako-san. I still can't figure out about the others ......

I'll evaluate my selections again and come back when I have the best cast selected.

Umm.... I can't think of anyone off the top of my head to fill any roles. So, I'd probably go with mostly new/unknown talent. Any established stars I would use would have to be fans of the series, and at most I'd only give them bit parts/cameo appearences.

Most of my favorite actors are too old to fill the head roles in Sailor Moon. I'd rather see some little-knowns or unknowns that are close to the correct age than a group of seasoned actors play parts that are way too young for them.

I am inclined to agree on the girl who played Cho as Sailor Mercury, but I have to disagree with Kristin Kreuk as Sailor Mars, simply for the fact that I believe she is too old for the part. As for your choice for Queen Beryl, I have no opinion on that, as I never saw and have no intention of seeing The Chronicles of Narnia.

I would have to agree. I've only seen half of the movie, but I can see it. Though, there is still a place in my heart for Gina Davis iin that role. I know it was only a rumor, but still. She looked the part in my opinion.
