While I think the english theme is increably embarrising, it realy fits with DIC's editing job. So, while its not somthing I would put on my iPod I think it fits the "spirt" of the dub so well.

Plus its nice to have at least one place they kept the orignal music...sorta.

This is kind of random, but you know how they used Moonlight Densetsu for the final battle with Queen Beryl? Well, would if they used the North American theme song for the final battle in Day of Destiny? Good or bad idea?

It would've been a very very bad idea.

Even Moonlight Densetsu didnt seem to truly fit (a miracle love song during an epic battle :/ )

Carry On was a very good pick for that scene

I actually like the song carry on.

I had the american soundtrack released by DiC and some of the songs arent bad while some of them (I wanna be a star) I refuse to listen to if anyone else is within a mile distance from me.

I think it actually would've fit, seeing as how they did use clips from the final battle with Beryl during the opening credit animation for the dub. The biggest problem with the dub theme is that it would've been too short for that episode, unless Dic recorded an extended version of the dub theme. Besides, Carry On was far from being a perfect song itself as it suffered from MCL (Majorly Cheesy Lines) syndrome. "The evil queen we must defeat", anyone?

I LOVE the English theme. It goes very well with the first season opening. I sing and hum it on occasion! I think it is the best SM song ever!

I hate the English theme song so bad. -_-
I have listened to a lot of foreign Sailor Moon Dubs but the English one is the worst. The lyrics makes me puke and the voices aren't really good either.

Even our version, the Swedish is better. It is about Usagi and how she has to fight evil but just a little bit, I really think it captures the spirit of Sailor Moon.
I uploaded it on YouTube and I translated it and put the lyrics next to the video in the info-box.

Look how they covered the Japanese title of Sailor Moon with "PangLjud" and the voiceactors. :D

Wow the Swedish one is pretty good. They even keep the original opening animation, too (Except when they cover up the Japanese title).

This makes DIC look even worse.

Moonlight Densetsu sounds better then the english version but if were going to talk about cheesy lines I think both songs are guilty of this.

The swedish lines are pretty cute. They certainly fit better than the english ones.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

I agree, especially the "A destiny she cannot really understand" which is a great line that really fits Usagis personality.

Btw, the singer is the one who also does Usagis voice who is renamed Annie in Swedish :?

The english dubbed lies throughout.

Fighting evil by moon (mostly fights during the day)
Winning love by daylight (didn't find love until ep 30+)
Never running from a real fight (Serena... right)
She is one whom we can depended (Again, Serena... right)
With Secret powers all so new to her (not so secret when she gets them)
With her sailor scouts to help fight (Since S they rarely help her)

I guess if the fight isn't very "real" than she will run away. I personally like the Sailor Star Song even though it sounds sorta cheesey at parts also.

Yeah, the Japanese version is better, the lyrics don't really fit, and the singing is bad, but... I just love it. Now that I have Sailor Moon S uncut, I still find myself flipping on the English theme to listen to, just because I've known it for so long and it really grew on me.

Also, I know I'm going to be made fun of for this, but... In first grade I sang the English Sailor Moon theme in a school talent show. *Crawls under a rock and dies*

To the contrary, kudos for wearing your fandom on your sleeve.
Things I think Are Funny Early in the Morning: If Batman were a Smurf: "Quick, Robin! We must smurf down to the Batcave and smurf the Batplane! Then we must smurf the batsmurf so we can smurf where the Joker is smurfing!"

The Croonerism Spate (explanations upon request)
Be careful with this one, there is a bit of a pun involved. Dr. Spooner described his visit to a castle: "In the center of the fortress was the Palace Court. The gated entrance to this area was the court palace."

I like the dub theme xD, I find myself singing it on several occasions. Though don't get me wrong, the Japnese version is great, better lyrics wise, I think, too, but nothing beats having the nostalgia surging through me while listening to the English Sailor Moon theme.

The original theme WOULD be the Japanese theme, since it was out long before the English =P
