The new boxes have an ugly red "Signature Series" band along the top.

Oh my ! Who would want to buy something like that?! They should've put small red letters on the back. :(

Ew, they slightly redesigned the movie covers so they look all odd (thank god I already have them), and the Signature Series strip is so BIG. Hopefully they'll be marking down the original S DVDs with the release of the Signature versions.

It does look horrid, but I want them. I have the movies, but they are all dubbed VHS. If the price is more reasonable with the signature series lable, I'll try to get them.
And really, why shouldn't we be afraid? In case you haven't heard, life is terminal. Cigarettes will kill you. So will your cellphone. Your car is a deadly weapon and alcohol is a quiet killer. Don't lick the lead-based paint on the walls. Don't lick the back of a postage stamp and certainly don't lick any strangers! That will bring you down quickly indeed. Don't drink the water but don't drink less than eight glasses a day. Your enviroment is toxic, your natural resources are dwindling, your days are numbered, but what ever you do, don't panic! The stress, don't you know, will kill you.

Considering that I've already ordered copies of the last 2 Pioneer discs I need, and since S vol 5 won't be out in the reasonable future anyway, I have no reason to buy these.

My God, they're even more hideous than I expected! (I'd only seen tiny pictures of them before...)

Well, you can still buy most of the Pioneer stuff easily. As in another thread, Wal-Mart is getting in SuperS. Suncoast and FYE should have a few, and Media Play still has most of the Pioneer stuff including the Dream Box movie set. They're even ordering it, evident by the copy of S vol 5 I saw Saturdaywhich I'd asked if they had in last time I went, they didn't. I guess when a customer asks and its out they order more).

The whole Geneon thing seems poinless too, they still have the Pioneer name on the package anyway. and I somehow doubt the discs will be any different.
