According to the folks over at Genvid.com, the rumor about the live-action Sailor Moon movie looks to be false as expected. Quoted from the front page of Genvid.com, "Regarding the unsubstantiated rumor that Japanese magazine Animage has announced that Fox has picked up the rights for a live action Sailor Moon flick starring Lindsay Lohan, the May issue of Animage says nothing. I read through it myself. ANN is looking into the April issue and could write about that as early as tonight."

Fox Live Action SM film RUMOR
I'm suprised no one has posted about this yet, thes totally huge rumor about Fox picking up the rights to make a live-action Sailor Moon film, starring Lindsay Lohan as Sailor Moon... hopefully it's nothing but a horrible rumor... it's not that i hate Lohan, I just wouldnt see her playing a good Sailor Moon... but they also say that the Director of "Firefly" and "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer" Joss Whedon will be directing it... but so far no other info has been put up... so i'm guessing that it's nothing more than just a bunch of bs.

Several news sites have repeated a rumor that the latest issue of Animage reports Lindsay Lohan and Joss Whedon will be involved in a Fox produced live-action Sailor Moon movie. ANN has verified that neither the April nor May issue of Animage says any such thing. Joss Whedon is currently slated to direct the upcoming Wonder Woman movie, due out in 2007. No cast details for that film have been announced.

MTV.com's Larry Carroll asked Lindsay Lohan about rumors she would be cast in a new Sailor Moon movie:
The people behind the upcoming big-screen adaptation of the Japanese manga series "Sailor Moon" have sent her some materials to look at, she said, and fans have begun lobbying hard for Lohan to play the titular character, a rail-thin blonde known for her strong powers and sexy costumes.
"I read that [online] the other day," Lohan said of her supposed "Sailor" casting. "I haven't read the script; I don't even know if there is a script. ... I read a lot of things [online] that I don't know about myself that apparently people think are true."
ANN earlier reported rumors of a Sailor Moon movie announcement in Animage magazine were untrue. No further details about the potential movie are available.

Since it probably won't ever happen I'm sure most can rest in peace. If it does I wish the best to the production crew 
Lohan couldn't play Usagi. If it has to be someone of that acting league I'd probably vouch for Hilary Duff but her personality is a little more like Ami's when you think about it. Plus... her voice wouldn't compliment anything. (I love Hilary but I don't think her or Lohan can play such a character. I think Lohan would make a good Mars and Duff-Mercury)
If the movie included characters such as the Outers and Chibi-Usa I would like to see her played by either Dakota Fanning or Alyson Stoner (Sally from the Disney Channel).
I think teen/young adult actors like Ashley Tisdale, Brenda Song (Yes, I watch the Dsiney Channel...), Kirsten Dunst (Thinking Minako but may also be a good Makoto), etc, would be good choices.
Anyway, it most liekly won't ever happen. Sailor Moon was big but not quite big enough. Also, I know most people hear might get a little upset to hear their English names over their Japanese ones.
