A few days ago I received my Sailor Moon DVD Collection set and right now I'm watching SM Classics in it's entirety in the way it was originally intended. And so far I'm having a ball watching it. I've watched Episodes 1-12 and tonight I'm watching Episode 13 called "Girl Power! The end of Jedite" which as you all know this is Jedite's last episode. As I'm watching these I'm also comparing them to the DIC dubs. Tonight I plan on watching the DIC dubs and do more comparisons.
All of the episodes are excellent but so far here are my favorite episodes in the Japanese SM Classic episodes that I've watched recently (not the dubs--I've watched those dozens of times):

It's so hard to choose which episodes I liked best. The whole season was just so cool.
Top Three:
Episode 24. I loved the little moments with Naru and Nephrite. It was just so cute and touching. It was just so hard not to cry when Nephrite died. that scene was just so powerful and moving.
Episode 28. This one had the artist who had a rainbow crystal. So much of this episode was just so sweet because it all had all these beautiful paintings and Usagi and Mamoru starting to rethink their opinions of each other. It just seemed like a landmark moment to me.
Episode 34. (I believe this is the right one) Where Usagi and Mamoru are trapped together. See each other transform and learn about each other. They just become quite close in this. Very good episode. Another one of those landmark moments. You could just see so much of what they had and could have right there. Never get tired of it.

One of the most memorable episodes and it's the one where probably most of us have seen first was the first episode "Crybaby Usagi's Magnificent Transformation". I first started watching Sailor Moon in 1997 and these were the DIC dubs. Close to 9 years I've been watching the dub and I'm so glad to finally see the original episodes, even the 1st episode. When you listen to the original BGM and read the dialogue w/subtitles, compare that to the DIC episode, and you find almost 2 different versions so to speak. I prefer the original. Sailor Moon's henshin music during SM Classics is way better than SM's henshin BGM from DIC. In the original, the BGM was more pumped up and upbeat.
