Any dub fans out there?
Hi I'm new to the board and a big fan of the dub. I have seen the original but thought the japanese accents were laughable. Is there anyone else who prefers the dub?

Okay, where to start. Hmm.
1. Welcome to the board! Although this isn't the place to introduce yourself, so head over to general chat to do that.
2. Uh, Japanese accents? Last time I checked, it was in Japanese. Unless you're actually Japanese, I don't think you'd be able to hear their "accents". I won't say anything about your comment about them being laughable, because that's your opinion.
3. We've had topics like this many times before. I suggest searching through the older topics and replying to those first before starting your own.
That said, there is some dub fans here, but mostly sub fans. This is Sailor Moon Uncensored, you know.

I'm in agreement with Blackat. I see nothing wrong with liking the dub at all. If you like it more, then that's perfectly fine. But your phrase, "thought the japanese accents were laughable." is in itself laughable.
It's pretty insulting to call an entire country's way of speaking laughable. It's one thing to say that you did not care for the original in general, but it's another to blame it on the way the voice actors speak. How did you EXPECT it to sound? They're Japanese. The SHOW is Japanese. Did you expect them to sound German? Or English?

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

... I don't think you realise that your post was offensive. I am friends with many people who are Japanese and if they saw your post, I'm sure they would be offended.... this is why it's so important that we THINK before we post.kogsquinge wrote:Well, both replies to my thread so far have been rude and insinuated that I haven't read the rules. Now that I've had a taste of what this board is like I will not be returning. I am sure there are NICE people here and I do not mean to offend them.
