How do people react when they find out you watch BSSM?

The amazing anime that this site is dedicated to.

Probably because we're fans of the show, and nobody likes to hear/read it when they hear/read about their favorite show being bashed by a n00b?

my parents think its a little weird that i watch anime, but i dont think they really mind. what they mind is how im spending money on dvds, cds, posters, ect. my mom's like "oh its just a phase. in a few years you wont want all this stuff anymore." and they're not pleased that i got my little sister hooked, because she won't shut up about it. i don't try to hide it from friends and classmates. im known as insane anyway, so most people are like, "oh. typical you." lol. my myspace is currently sailor moon themed. i get comments like "oh i used to love that show!" but sometimes the stickers on my binders get weird stares. nobody watches sailor moon arouns here in snooty-town. i managed to get one friend hooked though. thats why i decided to come here; to talk to other crazy fans :D

I mainly keep my Sailor Moon and anime obsession to myself. Most people who do find out just kind of look at me like I'm weird or something. Probably because to them cartoons are for little kids. He he, just wait till I show them some tentacle hentai.
Currently watching: Sailor Moon S movie

I just tell them I like Saior Moon in a nostalgic sense (which isn't far from the truth). People usually say they either liked it as kids (Mainly girls) or simply remember what it was (some boys...).

I don't like to make a big deal out of it since I don't really like alot of anime anymore (I guess I just grew out of it?).

I find that happening to me. I think it's simply becuase I don't have time for it anymore. I'm completely behind on all the popular stuff, and when I go to cons, I don't even attend the anime panels or anything. I go to socialize and LARP, mostly.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

Well, Anime ish really popular at my school, and no one really cares, of course, I don't go around saying " OMG I LOVE ANIME" or " SAILOR MOON ISH TEH BEST!", Because that would just be embarassing xD.

Also, lately I've been growing out of anime and manga lately, it just doesn't have the same appeal now than it did a few years ago, kinda lost the magic it used to bhave when I watched it.

Ad yeah, not much anime that's been out lately have caugth my eye, the all seem more or less the same these days.

It's not so much that I totally dislike it now, I still have a special little place in my heart for anime, I just don't give a damn...

On topic.

I do noticed that there are alot of closet Sailor Moon fans at my age. I have a Chibi-Moon key-chain that I have on my binder zipper (I have bad nerve damage in my arm so it's hard to make a pincer-hold at times with my hands) and every once in awhile a girl my age will notice it and we'll go into a conversation about Sailor Moon. It's very odd but sweet :)
