The Sun

Post by SeiUsa » Tue Oct 25, 2005 11:44 pm

I've been wondering...the Moon Kingdom is immortal. But the sun is not immortal. What's going to happen to them when the sun goes out?
The Facts of the Animal Kingdom:
"Zebras can bite."
"Snakes say sss."
"Lions chase people."
And of course…”Tigers bite you.”

And one from me...Leopards are gorgeous.

Hmm I do not know. Maybe they will find a way to prevent the sun from dying out?

I bet ginzuishou is capable of doing that?

Possibly that will be for Helios and Chibiusa to manage. Helios can use the Golden Crystal to renew the Sun's vitality. . . and Chibiusa can be shot into it.

Be careful with this one, there is a bit of a pun involved. Dr. Spooner described his visit to a castle: "In the center of the fortress was the Palace Court. The gated entrance to this area was the court palace."

In an episode of Sailor Stars, Taiki comments that "it's the power of living humans that creates stars", and since the sun is a really big star, when it does go out the Soldiers will likely have a way of creating a new sun with their powers. Or maybe by the time the 30th Century gets here, Mercury will have developed a way where they can live even without a sun. After all, if they can live on the moon with no atmosphere, it shouldn't be that hard for them to live without a sun.
"If we can''t comprehend the plan at hand, how could a higher plan make any more sense? I'd say you can only be a martyr if you know what you are dying for, and choose it"-Elphaba

"Those who made mistakes blame themselves and close their hearts. It's impossible to fix a mistake. Man can't return to the past. That's why we drink. Drunks, lushes, sliding alcohol down their throats to dilute the memories that can't be denied.-Vash The Stampede"

Well, I actually think the sun's going to get brighter before it goes "out" (that is, collapses into a white dwarf). In 5 billion years, the sun will burn up all its hydrogen in the core and it will puff up, turning into a red giant, which is a HUGE star with a red (cooler) surface temperature. In that time, the sun's surface will be out all the way to the Earth and the place will be uninhabitable. After that time (which isn't as long as it takes to get there, but I don't know how long) the sun turns into a white dwarf, which is a really, really dense white dead star corpse.

Maybe the ginzuishou could make the Earth freeze again, and then unfreeze when the sun cools off again and turns into a white dwarf? Or everyone could live under the ginzuishou refrigerator ice block?

This is a good place to get information about what's going to happen to the sun, don't just take my word for it! Actually, the story of how the Sailor Senshi would deal with this stuff would make for an interesting fanfic.

But if it turns into a Red Dwarf, then we'll have a place to get our Lager and Vindaloos. *10 peachy glomps for reference*

Sailorasteroid
. . . and Chibiusa can be shot into it.
We're trying to save the Sun, not contaminate it ^_^
Peachvampiress has an account on DeviantArt. Insanity Within.
And a Myspace account for her clothing designs.

Come on, it's the logical conclusion to The Chibi Project.

When is it said that the Moon Kingdom is immortal? It was destroyed in the distant past. Also longevity doesn't equate to immortality. Whose to say how the species may evolve in the time it take the sun to degrade.
Rosencrantz: Do you think death could be a boat?
Guildenstern: No; Death is not, it isn’t. Death is the ultimate negative; not being. You can’t not be on a boat.
Rosencrantz: I’ve frequently not been on boats.
Guildenstern: No; what you’ve been, is not on boats.

A more accurate term would be immortal, but not invincible. They can last as long as they please... until someone comes along an wrecks their fun.

Considering it'll be billions of years before the sun's state renders the Earth uninhabitable, homo sapiens would be long gone by then.

Though, more accurately, the sun will become a Red Giant. The inner 4 planets will be enveloped by the sun, or be incinerated.

Long before that, thought, is that the Moon will enter a geosynchronous orbit in regards to the Earth. Meaning it'll eventually hover over a single point abouve the Earth. Plus the Moon will eventually escape the Earth's orbit.
You seem like the kind of person who'll lie.
However... this sword doesn't lie.

Listen, this is important: You gotta

Anyway, maybe the Moon Kingdom will just bomb one half of the moon and then send themselves off with an impossibly large amount of supplies (or a very good solar battery).

But yeah, shooting Chibiusa into the sun sounds like an utterly brilliant idea.
