One idea I think they could do about the Sailor Starlights is to change them to being male the entire time and digitally edit their outfits. While Takeuchi-san might not like this decision, since only girls can become Sailor Senshi in her universe, it would allow a lot of the episodes to be left mostly in-tact, and Seiya and Usagi's "relationship" could be kept, too. After all, if they can digitally paint a bathing suit over Usagi in episode 200, they could do something with the Starlights' outfits, too.
