All Time Favorite Quote from the dub or original <3

I'm not sure if a topic like this was already made....

I just LOVE the scene in one of the Doom Tree Episodes (dub) where Serena is showing Darien the pictures she drew of their story. And Ann pulls down her pictures and says:

"Preschool's across the street"

and Serena gets the funniest look on her face and says:

"What's THAT suppose to mean?"

Absolute FAVORITE line. I just love her face and the way she says it. It makes me laugh so hard! Another of my favorite quotes from the dub is in I think it's called: "Serena Times Two" (CORNY CORNY NAME) when Rini first comes. Sammy introduces her as their cousin and Serena shouts:

"And since WHEN do we have a cousin named Ri-NI!?" (I laughed out loud)

and Sammy calls her an air-head or something and the conversation continues a bit and Serena says:

"IS IT THE WORLD THAT'S GOING BONKERS OR IS IT JUST ME?!"

and (best line ever!) Serena's mom says, very calmly:

"It's you dear, go take a nap"

I think I repeated that line about fifty times to myself later that day. See I don't think all of the dub stuff is all that bad. Some of the lines make me laugh for hours!

My favorite quote from the orginials is when Amy suggests that Darien likes the company of guys (I don't remember exactly what she said, but as I was watching the Sailor Moon R movie, it made me laugh)

My all time favorite quote in dubbed Sailor Moon. (hell, ANYTHING related to Sailor Moon) is..

Rini: "Serena, did you eat as much as a fat herd of elephants?"

God, I love that line so much.

They're in my sig. The first one I like because I've found myself using Rei's reply when someone tells me working too hard is bad, or something. Sometimes I say it in a teasing, harmless way. Other times...kind of, uh...mean, I'll admit, depending on the person.

(Does anyone know what they actually said the in the original?)

I'm not sure if a topic like this was already made....

I've backed logged the entire SM catagory and havn't found it. I did find, "Funny Dub lines not mentioned on the site" but not your favorite overall line between the two types (English or Japanese). Please, for future reference, reaserch the topics yourself. It's a hassle to backlog 7+ pages to make sure you don't repeat a topic, but it saves the mods the trouble of locking or merging one topic to another.

MY personal favorite line was from epsiode one of the dub. Serena threw her crumpled paper over her shoulder whick conked Darien on the head.

Darien : Hey!
Serena : *turns to looks*
Darien : A Thirty? Are you stupid or just incredibly lazy?

(something to that effect)
Makes me laugh every single time. I'll need to rewatch the Japanese verison to find a good quote.

BTW, your quote of the dub in your sig is somewhat wrong. You have this:

"Ya know...too many chores can be bad for you!"
"Ohhh, so I guess that must mean you're in perfect health."

It should go like this:

Usagi: You know...too many chores can be bad for you!
Rei: So, that must mean that you're in perfect health!

or something VERY similar to that. Just watched that eppi not too long ago.

Do more serious quotes count here, too? If they do, one of my favorite quotes from the original is when Rei's grandfather gets her a job as a fortune teller in Sailor Stars and Usagi comes in and I just love that whole conversation between them during that scene. It's just one of those moments that proves Rei is probably the closest out of all of Usagi's friends and I love those moments. Another one of my favorite quotes from the original is, "If having the pride of a soldier means killing another, then I don't want it" or something to that effect.

Oh my god, this whole screen made me roll on the floor laughing. And I was watching it with this little girl i was babysitting (poor thing didn't understand Serena was drunk) who just kind of laughed along with me.

Another one of my favorites from SMS:

Either Amara or Michelle, can't remember: It's pretty risky to do a juggling act with an antique bowl. That must be worth an absoute fortune.
And suddenly it goes silent and Serena gasps.
Serena: WHADDA MEAN AN ABSOLUTE FORTUNE?!

Well, the line is only funny if your watching the way Serena walks and how her arms fail and she screams. Man I LOVE that scene.

I dunno, that whole part just made me laugh really hard! Does anyone know what she is saying at that part in the orginial?

Well, in Japanese, it goes "Mamo-chan to party! Demo ego..." (A party with Mamo chan! But English...).

I didn't know that the language they had chosen to make everyone learn was French o.o . Seems pretty weird, lol.

One of my favorite quotes is from the fansub of said episode, when everyone gathers to have English lessons and Usagi complains that she's bad at English. Mamoru replies "But Usako, you're bad at everything".

yea, its dub and orginal because some people have only seen the dub, some have only seen the orginial some only like lines from one or the other...i just tried to make it more open

You didn't make him mad. Just because we're doing our jobs as admins and mods does not mean we're angry everytime we do it. All he did was correct you.
