Sailor Moon blooming at Showa Kinen Park

Post by Aya Reiko » Sun Aug 07, 2005 7:31 pm

"Sailor Moon" blooming at Showa Kinen Park.

Interesting... I wonder why they named a sunflower "Sailor Moon". ANd, for that matter, why a sunflower.
You seem like the kind of person who'll lie.
However... this sword doesn't lie.

I thought there was already a flower named after Sailor Moon? Wasn't it Happy Barry Sailor Moon or something?

Well, the article said that the sunflowers were popular among children, so they probably thought that naming a sunflower after a famous children's anime like Sailor Moon would attract even more children to them, although it is kind of unusual....

I thought it was insanely funny. I mean, who names sunflowers? I sure don't. lol. Maybe I should start.. Haha. Although I agree that they probably named it Sailor Moon to attract more children. I am a fan of the X-Files, and although they probably don't have that there, if a flower were named Mulder or Scully, or any of the Lone Gunmen, I would be the first one there. lol

Interesting article. Who would have thought that Sailor Moon's spirit would be alive in a sunflower garden? :D
