That's a good point, ParaKiss...and besides, she could have meant anything from a crush to a full-blown love interest.

oooh THAT.
Well, I could be totally wrong. But that's what I theorize ^^;
I think it's a mixture of sad and happy. Happy becuase she lives out her dream and can be normal for once. Sad becuase of..well..the reasons you said.

I'm pretty sure the way it was said (at least in the fansub I have) implied that she was speaking only about romantic relationships. I'll have to go track that thing down on my backup CDs and check.

As for the ending, they couldn't have gone that far into the future, because Chibi-usa is 900+ years old in the manga...

So even if it was... Starscream listed the pairings above.
And so what? o_O; I don't understand how Chibiusa's age is relevant.

He's saying that Chibi-Usa was 900 in the manga, so it has to be 900 years before that when Usagi is pregnant (the wedding). So, they didn't go that far into the future. It had to be in the 2000s when Mamoru and Usagi got married.

However, this only furthers my belief that she was reborn from the Galaxy Cauldron. She threw herself into it, so she would have been reborn almost immediately. This still gives her ample time to grow up and get married.

Favorite- Classic. Nothing beats this in my book for practically every reason others already gave.

least favorite- I liked SuperS cliffhanger a lot and the episodes leading to it. But I guess my least favorite is the "true" ending of SuperS (the Nehelenia arc at the beginning of Stars) if that counts. The epsiodes before the last one were some of my favorites. But how she turned out to be just someone "lost in her mind looking for friends" was really out of the blue and cheezy.

I liked R's because I did enjoy the last battle. Maybe because I was happy to see Wiseman go :P And La Soldier is such a good song, I wish all of the endings had songs. Also when Chibi-Usa and Usagi had to say bye to each other made me teary.

S was good even though I wish Saturn used DRR and the world began to end. I like the two episodes after that too.

All of Stars' ending was touching. Even though there's no Sailor Cosmos...
"This guy are sick."- Aeris (Final Fantasy VII)

Hm, well I personally thought it made her more interesting and appealing of a villain. I think that the whole Nehelenia arc at the beginning of Stars is really good and cool in general.

While I agree that R had the worst final battle, I can't say it has a bad ending(or even the worst). I haven't seen the original ending to SuperS yet, but the Nehelenia arc at the beginning of Stars wasn't spectacular in my opinion. But I digress...

Despite the fact that the battle with Wiseman/Death Phantom was bad, the entire 'ending' of R (from the birth of Black Lady to the battle with Wiseman) was execllent. Classic had my favorite ending overall, and while I enjoyed S's ending, I wish the other Senshi could've played a bigger role.

I agree with everyone, R's ending was pretty dull...

Every other was really good. Super and Super S being the best (IMO)

Favorite: I liked the ending for the original season the most. Now that I have the entire first season of Sailor Moon, uncut, on DVD, it's no wonder why I choose so.

Least Favorite: I can't say, I have yet to see a Sailor Moon ending that I don't like. However, I would say SuperS, mainly because it's my least favorite season of them all.

Do manga endings count?

Anywaz, even though I saw the dub ending of Classic Sailor Moon, I'd have to agree with Tiff that it's one of the best endings ever. I almost cried when
Usagi healed Mamoru with the music box, then Queen Beryl fused herself with Metalia and was fighting against Princess Usagi and all the Inner Senshi grab her Moon Crecent Wand and shout "Mercury Power! Make Up!", "Mars Power! Make Up!", "Jupiter Power! Make Up!" "Venus Power! Make Up!" and then Usagi cries "Moon Crystal Power! Make Up!" killing Metalia. Then Usagi says she wish that they could forget this. IMO, a beautiful conclusion.
The manga ending was just as beautiful, too; as was the StarS ending. I felt the SuperS ending was good, just not THAT good.

Since I love Anime and Manga, I guess I'll do both

ANIME:
#6 - SMR part 1 - Can we say "boring" childen? I _knew_ we could
#5 - SMS - It was a bit of a tear jerker, but it could have had more action. Plus this is the only final battle ('sides R pt 1) that has Usagi not in her princess gown. (Argument for Stars. She's Princess Serenity before the sword breaks)
#4 - SMSS - As nice of an ending it was, the "We're falling! Aaah!" plot seemed a little bland to me.
#3 - SMC - Wonderful poem at the end. Whenever watching this episode and episode 45, I always need a pillow to hug.
#2 - SMR part 2 - I loved Neo Queen Serenity's appearence. And La Soldier practically made up the battle.
#1 - SMStars - I have a clip, and I love it. I love Usagi's reaching out to Galaxia, I love the angel wings, I love the end when Usagi hugs Mamoru. I just love it all.

MANGA (Backwards order again)
#5 - First Arc - This one was just a tad hard for me to follow. It just seemed a bit boring too.
#4 - Second Arc - The battle was a little dumb to me, but I liked the "Usagi's still on Nemisis!" part at the end.
#3 - Infinity Arc - I loved Hotaru's attack, I could hear the silence, I could hear the world collapsing. It was so dramatic to me.
#2 - Dream Arc - I loved how the Senshi turned into princesses and the revealing of the castle's names. Also, Queen Nehellenia's comments to Sailor Moon.
#1 - Stars - I fell in love with Sailor Cosmos the second I saw her, which is a large part of why it's first. But I also loved finding out exactly where all the enemies came, the heartbreak Sailor Moon experienced, and Guardian Cosmos's words to Sailor Moon.

Me: This is coming from the kid who doesn't know what Viagra is!
Ko: It's cold medicine, right?
Our Group: NO!!!
Me: Can I just say?
Dylan: Sure, it's no weirder than what normally comes out of your mouth.
Me: (says what)
Ko: .....What's that?
Me: ......*starts crying*
Carley: STEVE! STEVE GET OVER HERE AND TELL KO WHAT VIAGRA DOES!
Steve: See, it's like this: The bridge goes up and the soldiers rush out....

Tiff: Aww, you killed someone for me. That's so sweet in a f***ed up sort of way!

My fave

Post by wsleigh » Sun Nov 16, 2003 11:57 pm

Hi, I'm new.

Favourite Anime ending was Stars. They set it up so well. And it was a 6 parter that hooked me all night.

Favourite Manga ending was the original in book #10. (I have always seen 11 as kinda a spin-off.)
Essentially it was the S ending but so much better.
The R ending (Anime) wasn't great but where R would have ended in the manga was so much better.

Ok, first of all, how can you decide on which ending to Sailor Moon is your favorite? Aren't they all sort of the same? Unless you mean how they reach the endings...in which case, the question should be "what is your favorite Sailor Moon Climax?" Mine would probably be the first season because the deaths of the Sailor Senshi were sad, and it was actually original! I didn't really care for the other endings so much, but if I had to choose a least favorite, then R because the ending was too much like the original (even though I personally feel like the other endings are repeative, too).
