What do death metal and Sailor Moon have a in common? Absoutely nothing of course. But that doesn't stop Morbid Angel guitarist Trey Azaghoth from being a big fan.
Here's an excerpt from an interview with him.
From a interview with him:
Interests outside music : Well; when I'm home I play online Quake 3 Arena all rail with my Sailor Scouts clan and online Z-DOOM with Vile and Sailor Scouts. I have been known to play for 35 hours per gaming session, I define the meaning of a railwhore. Always Happy to come to My>>>>H*O*U*S*E
WAAAAAA, I'm the world's worst Sailor Scout>>>>>>>>:(
Favorite pastime while on tour : Paradigm gaming with the Playstation in the back lounge and watching "Sailor Moon" and American "Le Man" vids.

As stereotypical as this sounds...yeah, he does not look like someone who I would expect to enjoy the show, English or otherwise oO
Off the top of my head, I cannot think of anyone that has any sort of celebrity status that would fit to these guidelines...I'll be sure to actually contribute something to this conversation if I can, however.
And now, MOD MODE: Stitch, you need to input your birthday into your personal profile in order to stay a member of this site, as per the rules outlined in the appropriate link above.

I am not surprised that anyone would be a fan of any show. People are entitled to like whatever show that they want, in my opinion.
A friend of mine once was surprised when he learned that I was a Sailor Moon fan. He said that I didn't seem the type.

I just thought the image of some evil looking, long-haired guitarist standing in front of a R movie poster is somewhat...amusing.
If you look at the thanks list in his albums, you'll find various characters from Ranma and Robotech.

Heheh. Awesome. More ammo to hopefully dispel the notion many people may still have that Sailor Moon is a little girls' show.

Sailor Moon was made to be a little girl's show...so what? We can still enjoy it the same. Disney movies are made for children but whole families still enjoy them.

Guys, nobody is saying that anybody can't like sailor moon. The idea is just to discuss people that are unlikely sailor moon fans. Taht's all. Let's not start arguing, please.
Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

my younger brother is a sailor moon fan, and he's almost 13. if you saw him on the street, you wouldn't expect someone like him to be into sailor moon at all. he's more of a closet fan though. he loves sailor mars.

I have to say me because everyone's so surprised when they find out I like Sailor Moon or any anime... or video games for that matter. lol
I'm never really "surprised". I'm just always happy to find another Sailor Moon fan. ^_^

Yep, I'd have to say I'm a closet Sailor Moon fan (although my 18 year old brother is one too). What can I say, it's fun to watch and it's an overall good anime!

There's nothing "closet" about me lol. When I started my current job a year ago, everyone knew I was an otaku. I was always spouting about anime, manga, and j-rock. Hell i've converted three co-workers to subs, 2 to anime, and 1 to j-rock haha.
They still kinda mess with me about my love-affair with BSSM hehe.

Yeah, I remember when my friend came over one day and looked at my anime collection and saw my 27 or so Sailor Moon DVDs he gave me a weird look. Heh.
Oh, and this is offtopic, but there's actually a Metal cover of "Moonlight Densetsu" somewhere out there that I have (no idea where I got it)...it's interesting.
