I suppose you could. But I would be careful with the crackdown and court rulings that can now hold p2p networks responsible and now an international crackdown. I would be very careful. You could get the site and yourself in trouble pretty quickly. They're might be copyright owners snooping the site right now. If some Toei exective decides a crackdown on copyrighted materials and decides that fansubs pose a risk to their bussiness they might come after you.

Since there be closing and Toei dosnt't want to relase S.S in any way as stated above. would that be ok around here?
..Are you asking if it's okay to upload the episodes and post a link so people can download them?

I honestly don't know. I need to speak with the other admin and our mods about that.

Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

Thats what i'm asking Tiff.
VKLL is closing up shop soonish, and no one wants to offiicaly bring Sailor Stars over here anyhow. plus arn't fansubs for the fans by the fans?
I'm just making an atempt to do my part as a fan.
More then likley there are people around here that havent seen S.S eather.
The only semi problem would be it takes like an hour to load an ep on to Rapidshares file server
so i can only do a little at a time.
but other then that were cool
but if you dont wanna bother with it its no big deal
Up to you guys

One thing I would like to have are the Next Episode Previews for C-SS...1-166 (minus a few, like the previews from 001, 045, 067). As you may well know, the ADV and Geneon/Pioneer DVDs didn't include the next episode previews...so they're not making any money off them, since they don't exist. Does anyone here have the previews, preferably in .RM format (even if it's the full episode in .RM format, that's OK, I can cut the preview out)? Is it even OK to ask for this (in this thread)?

I'd search on Dogpile as it gathers info from other search engines for whatever you're looking for.

Your better off just buying them on VHS/DVD just to avoid all that crap. Also, you could have recorded the eps when they were on like I did so you can always go back and watch them whenever you want. >=)

S @ Amazon

And that's it.

No box sets at Amazon (other than the one above), TRSI, DDD, and Overstock. They have the individual DVDs, but not the box sets.

Robyn Tang: I see you're located in Australia like me, so I'll give you some helpful advice on finding probally the only store in Australia that stocks the SM DVD's.

I think it's either called the Cartoon Gallery or the Anime Gallery, and it's located in Sydney city. Last time I went there they had the S and R box sets, but usually they stock all of them. They're American releases of course, because the DVD's were never released on Region 4, so they can get a little pricey. I paid $200 alone for the S thinpack dvd collection!

But anyway, it's worth checking out - here's their website: http://fm.cartoongallery.com.au/cartoon/default.html

Good luck!

I have a question, I want to buy the S season seperate and not as a box set, but since Im going to buy it online, it has to be a "known" place in the U.S. Well, it has to be reliable because I don't know if amazon.com is reliable even though I've bought my R box set there, but the Sailor Moon S DVDs seem to have various prices which I find weird.

In fye.com I found some DVD's but volume 6 has two different covers, one without the Geneon red strip and one with it, what I find weird is the colors, is it suppose to look like that?

I personally have the utmost faith in Amazon, and if you were going to buy from them, that would probably be the best place to do it from. If not, you could also try Discount Anime DVD.com.

By the way, the first pic is the Pioneer release. It is totally legit, if that is what you are wondering.

Hello everyone, I'm new here and I'm happy to have found this board (as most of the other ones I'm a member of don't really have topic like this). Anyway, I have a question that I'm hoping you guys might be able to answer.

There seems to be a big discussion on purchasing items off ebay, etc. and I just wanted to do a check and see if what I've purchased off there is reputable.

I purchased the "Perfect Collection" Seasons 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 + all 3 movies from a reputable seller on ebay. Neither the sets or DVDS look handmade and the seller said they were imported and factory sealed (which they were).

The seller had similar threads like the one I purchased so I'm sure you could find them. So far I've watched most of the Stars season and find nothing wrong with it. I'm just concerned though because there seems to be a lot going on about how things on ebay aren't reputable...should I be concerned?

P.S. The total cost was $205. I know there are 2 versions of STARS in existence on DVD, domestic and import. I am pretty positive I have the import and am fine with that because the domestic release is around $70-100 (too much for me).

At $205 for all that, it's a bootleg without a doubt. Any single season from R2 will run you over $200 + shipping.

And no domestic version of Stars exists.

If you can find them, pick them up while you can.
TSRI is down to only SS Vol 4.
Overstock has Vol.s 3 and 4 of S and Vol.s 2, 3, 5, and 6 of SS plus the movie. I think they have Vol. 6 of S, The listing is for Vol. 6 of SS, but the cover they show is Vol 6 of S. Plus there's another listing for Vol. 6 of SS with the right cover art.
All DDD has left is 5 and 6 of S, and 5 of SS.
There's also Amazon, but odds on you're going to have to get it from a second hand outlet, not Amazon itself.

Hmmm... I was checking out amazon and I don't understand why they don't sell the DVD's off themselves and not from a second hand outlet because I don't know if its a bootleg or not. Has anyone bought a DVD in AMAZON.COM from a second party?

I was also wondering, is the pioneer cover(not the geneon) completely, completely gone? Meaning, If I order a DVD from a store, they'll give me the one with the geneon cover, and NOT the original?

I hope I make sense.

eBay = bootlegs galore..it's scary.

So I've decided to resort to eBay for the box sets even though its kind of risky. Not so much that I'd end up receiving bootlegs but that the sellers wouldn't even have them in stock in the first place.

I've used the Amazon marketplace before, and it's generally a good place to do business. Check the seller's rating and comments and see if they're a professional seller or just someone trying to unload a set they're done with. Nothing wrong with the latter, if they've got a good rating.

As for direct Amazon sales, I'm sure they ran out of stock long ago and since Geneon isn't releasing any more, no hope for replenishment.

Whoops about that, I was thinking about something else. And if these are bootleg, they must be extremely high quality mass-marketed bootleg because I've seen the same versions selling on other e-stores (from what I've seen, other reputable anime dealers) and the audio on the Japanese version is better than on the ADV set. Therefore, I suppose even if it is a bootleg I'm not too disapointed. I can't imagine spending a couple hundred more dollars on the collection, as I'm not a very rich person haha.

And I was well aware about the ebay bootlegs galore thing lol, I looked at pretty much every single listing on there and narrowed it down to about 3. I wrote every single seller with about 5+ questions about the items and chose the best one. You can't win all the time though

EDIT: Here is a direct quote from the description of the item:

This auction is for *8* Authentic FACTORY-DVD boxsets!
They are NOT homemade DVD-Rs or VCDs,
but Brand New, Factory-sealed, imported anime!

*shrugs?*
