No, Geneon is only doing the distribution for all of Toei's shows. Toei is doing all of the production and whatnot, Geneon is handling the distribution as in making the product availble to retailers and releated work. It's just like when they distributed for Viz and Bandai until about a year or two ago.

While it isn't at all likely that it will ever be shown down here, Madman have expressed interest in releasing the DVDs--indeed, now that the market for anime is wider than what it was five years ago (when I was lucky to find a half-decent dub VHS), they probably can push the envelope a little and release the boxsets. Hopefully we'll also get access to S and SuperS.

that you were talking about seeing it on DVD as it has already been released subtitled on DVD by ADV.
Rosencrantz: Do you think death could be a boat?
Guildenstern: No; Death is not, it isn’t. Death is the ultimate negative; not being. You can’t not be on a boat.
Rosencrantz: I’ve frequently not been on boats.
Guildenstern: No; what you’ve been, is not on boats.

I was. Madman sub-licenses stuff for R4.

Ah! Now I understand. I use a multi-region play (when I'm at home) as we buy US, Japanese and HongKong DVDs. It's far easier to collect anime that way. Where is region 1 and region 2? I can never remember such things.

Yup, region 2 is Japan and Europe as well. But the video standard is different within those regions (I think that's the correct term) I think Japan uses NTSC, like American, while Britain uses PAL (and I think other European countries as well, but I think France uses SECAM, I apologise if the spelling is wrong) You have to take this into account when importing DVDs as although your player may be able to read the DVDs, your TV might not be able to cope (For example, my TV only plays French tapes in monochrome.)
