The Kae Akrai Effect

Has anyone else noticed that whenever Kae Akari does a role, it immediately turns people off? A very small number of people are Chibi-Usa fans, and from the people I have talked to, Mika isn't exactly the most popular character in Fushigi Yugi(I haven't seen it yet). Those are the only two roles that I know she played for certian, but I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed this.

1) Her name is Araki, not Akari.
2) You're right, though. People often don't like it when she does Usagi in the last episodes of the first season either. Personally, I like her voice acting, especially the Chibi Moon songs, but that's because Chibi-Usa-sama is my favorite Sailor Moon character, so I'm extremely biased.

Okay, I admit I HATE Miaka, but I like Chibi Usa, just not the fact that SuperS focused WAY TOO MUCH on her, and I liked her as Usagi.

I belive Kae Araki also played a character in an episode of the Pretty Sammy tvseries (aka Magical Project S), though, I'm not sure which character she played.

I always wonder what the last episodes of Sailormoon first season would be like if Mitsuishi Kotono played Usagi as usual.

I doubt it has as much to do with her as the characters. Chibi-Usa just plain annoys me, and I don't hate Miaka, but I'll admit she's pretty stupid and I can understand why other people find her annoying. Some people just can't stand annoying characters, while others find them funny or entertaining.

Here's a list of roles she's voiced. Are any of these other characters (Minnie May from Gunsmith Cats?) hated?

Well I preferred Kotono Mitsuishi as Usagi but Kae was okay. I don't hate Chibi-Usa or Miaka. I like them both. As a matter of fact, I think Chibi-Usa is the most misunderstood character in BSSM, and that her character was developed better than a lot of the other characters. Miaka is one of my favorite characters in Fushigi Yuugi, although she's not the smartest person. She's cute, funny, and she has a good heart. That's what I like about her.

Anyway Kae Araki's voice is cute. I also like her as Felicia in the Darkstalkers games. I love how she goes "meow" ^.^

Well, I don't hate the character Hikari, but I find Hikari x Takeru to be annoying.

She voices some of the monsters in the series actually. I think it's Line Girl and Baby Goods Girl.

She was also Akane, that little girl that called Kero-chan "Chau-chan", in Cardcaptor Sakura.

I don't mind her voice, and I think it's kinda cute. But my exposure is kinda limited...

She also voices Felicia the Catgirl of the DarkStalkers video games and various Capcom crossover games.

I don't like her as Usagi. I didn't mind her in the last three episodes of Classic, but I was SO tired of her in the first several episodes of R. I really like her best as Chibusa, especially in SuperS.

Her voice is pretty cute, but I like her voice best when it's a little deeper and more mature sounding. Chibi-Usa's voice was a bit like that when she first appeared in R, at least for a few lines.

I think Kae Araki did a really good job voicing Ouri from Gestalt. Her voice sounds a bit more mature with that character.
As for the other two characters I think Chibiusa is okay. I don't like Miaka but that's not because of her voice that's because of how she acts.

I only ever heard Araki Kae as Chibiusa. I love her as Chibiusa, especially in her image song "Baibai tte Itta". I never heard her as Miaka, though, but I assume she's OK (even though I don't like the character herself much).

I've been watching Fushigi Yuugi and I don't mind Miaka at all, it's just when they insert stuff like Miaka calling for Tasuki on a megaphone that it gets to me (it was funny when we met Mitsukake, but it was horribly out-of-place when Miaka was being held in Kutou Country.

I personally think that Miaka's a fair bit like Sailor Moon, but that's probably just me.

I didn't know she did Ouri from Gestalt! I like Kae's voice work. I didn't mind it for Usagi. loved it for Chibi-usa. She's just so cute. For some reason it just grew on me.
