Araki Kae-san plays Usagi in the Makaiju arc of the R season because Chibi-Usa timed traveled into the past and possesed Usagi's body to try and find the Silver Crystal and seduce Mamoru. Nanba Keichii-san plays both Zoicite and Umino because Zoicite and Kunzite are really Umino and Naru in disguise. Zoicite disguised himself as Umino because he knew all along that Usagi was really Sailor Moon and he was ordered by Queen Beryl to spy on her and Kunzite disguises himself as Naru because he really has a crossdressing fetish and it's always been his sexual fantasy to go out with a nerd. That's why the Dark Kingdom's attacks always had something to do with whatever the Sailor Soldiers were doing during that episode, the Dark Kingdom was always one step ahead of them all along!

The reason Mamoru didn't respond to Usagi in the Stars season is because Galaxia tampered with the mail. (see the "Problems With Stars" topic for where that joke comes from)

Endymion was evil in the Silver Millennium and turns good through Usagi's love waves.

Usagi's mother is actually the reincarnation of Queen Serenity. She just dyed her hair blue so that she wouldn't look too old.
