What non-Sailor Moon songs remind you of BSSM characters? I have a few...
Song: The Great Pretender (a 50s song)
Character: Usagi (in the SailorStars season)
Why: It perfectly describes the way she acts, pretending to be happy when really she's sad because Mamoru hasn't responded to her letters. She pretends that he's "still around" and wears the face of the clown.
Song: Hi Diddley Dee, An Actor's Life for Me! (from Pinocchio)
Character: Minako
Why: Because it's all about how fun it could be to be an actor! And that's Minako's dream, to get into the entertainment business. I could imagine her singing this, maybe to the Three Lights (ironically).
Song: Rated X (by Loretta Lynn)
Character: Chibi-Usa (Usagi to a lesser extent)
Why: Well, it doesn't really fit her in the show itself, but it fits the way that just because she pretended to flirt with Mamoru and had crushes on Masanori, Peruru, and Helios, that some fans think she likes to have sex a lot.
Song: I Saw You Again Last Night (by the Mamas and the Papas)
Characters: Usagi and Seiya
Why: Interestingly enough, I think this song's lyrics work for Usagi singing to Seiya, if Seiya is a girl here. 'She thinks that I love her.' Seiya thinks Usagi loves her, and is mistaken--Usagi loves Mamoru. It also sounds like how Usagi almost strings Seiya along, being friendly and sweet to her; Seiya takes this as love, when it really is just friendship. 'Every time I see that girl, you know I wanna lay down and die; but I really really need that girl...' This sounds like how things that happen to Seiya and being told to stay away from her by Haruka and the other Starlights hurts Usagi. Usagi also needs Seiya to keep her happy while Mamoru is gone. 'But what can I do, I'm lonely too, and it makes me feel so good to know you'll never leave me.' As I said, Usagi is lonely, and she's almost using Seiya as a substitute for Mamoru, who is gone."

Wow, this is freaky because I was listening to this song last night that reminded me of Chibi-usa/Black Lady. Anyway:Song:The Children's Hour (Instrumental song by Danny Elfman on the Batman Returns Soundtrack)
Character:Chibi-usa's transformation into Black Lady.
Why: It starts out as a sad music box theme then becomes this full, evil theme. I have a habit of choreographing stuff in my head to music, and Chibi's black henshin came into my mind.
Song:Face to Face by Siouxsie and the Banshees (Also from the Batman Returns Soundtrack).
Characters:Sailormoon and Evil Endymion.
Why: The song's about two people who are in love but are enemies and are about to die. A lot of the lyrics just seem to fit the last episode of Classic where they're fighting each other, especially these lines:
To die like this...with a last kiss
It's falsehood's flame...it's a crying shame
Face to face...the passions breathe
I hate to stay but then I hate to leave.

Somehow I manage to tie almost EVERY song I listen to with Sailor Moon. Call it a crazy obession.=D Here are a few:
Song: All You Wanted by Michelle Branch
Characters: Mamoru
Why: The lyrics go: If you want to/I can save you/I can take away from here/So lonely inside/So busy out there/ But all you wanted was somebody who cared./
I always think of Mamoru from the R movie when I hear this song.
Song: Reflection from Mulan soundtrack
Character: Usagi
Why: I think this song could easily be used for Usagi. Nearly all the lyrics match her, mostly around the first season.
Song: I Hope You Dance by Leanne Wolmack
Characters: Ami,
Why: Again, with the R movie. When I hear this, I think of the flashback with the lonely Ami, and how she befriended by Usagi. It's about takinng chances and making friends.
Song: Rinse by Vanessa Carlton
Character: Manga Rei
Why: It's about forgetting a girl's past with men and becoming happier, forgetting him. I think of Rei and her father when I hear this song, or that politician man she fell in love with in "Casablanca Memories".
Song: I Need You by Leanne Rimes
Characters: Usagi/Mamoru/Senshi
Why: This song is so full of that reason why all the Usagi and Mamoru rely on each other. It also reminds me of how close the girls are as friends. This happens to be one of my favorite aongs ever. The lyrics are beautiful.^^
