Sword in teeth Uranus

This is a picture which I've seen a few times on the internet, but never been able to discover a source for. It doesn't appear to be fan art (despite it's weirdness) but seems to be a part of a larger picture which I've never been able to find. Does anyone know anything about where it's from? Is it an artbook image or something because I'm stumped.

What was going through the artist's mind when they drew this...

Do you happen to have that somewhere else? I can't get it to work on my system. But I think I know the picture you are referring to, by your description. If it is the one I am thinking of, I have a hard copy of it at home, and could never figure it out, either.

You have to copy/paste the link into your browser for it to work. And BTW, your link doesn't work, either. It redirects you to the "stealing bandwidth" page.

As for the picture itself, it's probably from one of the anime books, but that's also all I've ever seen of it.

You were right. I tested the link out myself just now, and it didn't work, so I have undone the tags on the hyperlink. You could still see the picture, however, by going to www.eternal-moon.org, clicking on anime pictures on the side, and clicking on the Sailor Uranus link on the list that comes up. (sorry, I'm not entirely internet-literate and that is the best alternative I can think of to see that picture.)

That is an official anime picture. It IS from a larger picture. I've seen it a dozen times. *shrug* what's wrong with it? I think it's cute.

Interesting. I've seen it elsewhere too. It looks like the sword is just hovering in front of her mouth, or else she has really strong lips. (Only Michiru would know the answer to the "does she have strong lips question

I think that's the most beautiful picture of Uranus ever! I wish they'd used that artist for most of the Sailor Moon saga.

Thank's for confirming it's not fan art Tiff. I love it myself (I'm a big Uranus fan) and I'd seen it around several times but only in it's cropped form and just wanted to enquire.

I think it's cute too, and wonderfully weird. Better than a rose in the teeth anyday.

I liked it too, but that site was not the first I have seen it on in that form. I also saw it on at least two other sites, both of which are now shut down. The site I gave was the only other place I knew to find it at. I could also tell that it was an anime pic, but whether it was supposed to be part of a larger pic I could never have said.

I remember seeing that picture a few years ago. I never realized it was fanart though. I think you will have a tough time finding the original image because that pic is a few years old.

That's interesting. It almost looks like it had been Photoshopped. And it does look like it should be part of a bigger picture.

Uranus in this picture always struck me odd because I thought the sword was suposed to be in her hand, ^^ Much like everyone else, I thought it was just edited in.

Wow! Thanks for posting that Tempest! I'd never seen that picture before. Wonder how I could have missed it. I'm such an big Outer senshi fan. Thanks once again, and does anyone else think that Neptune's pose looks REALLY uncomfortable?

Yeah, I agree. That pose looks really unnatural, the way her right arm and leg are positioned. I've seen a few anime pictures like that, where the poses they've used a quite odd. It's still a really lovely picture, thank you so much for posting it Tempest! Pluto and Uranus look really cool, as always.

Well, considering Neptune is leaning on Uranus like that...Maybe she wanted to use her hands for something other than using her sword? I like the picture of the Uranus Sword in Teeth...You can tell she drinks her milk. ^^
