I think a chronological approach would work best. Explain the legend first, then tell how Takeuchi decided to incorporate it into the manga, and then show its popularity. Make the point that a lot of fans of Sailor Moon like the romance, so in a sense the legend is still being told effectively. That way you can tie it all together. Maybe bring a manga as a visual aid, show Serenity and Endymion on the Moon or something. I think most people know that comics draw from old sources so it should be interesting to see an example in detail.
Things I think Are Funny Early in the Morning: If Batman were a Smurf: "Quick, Robin! We must smurf down to the Batcave and smurf the Batplane! Then we must smurf the batsmurf so we can smurf where the Joker is smurfing!"

The Croonerism Spate (explanations upon request)
Be careful with this one, there is a bit of a pun involved. Dr. Spooner described his visit to a castle: "In the center of the fortress was the Palace Court. The gated entrance to this area was the court palace."

O thanx I was trying to explain into a 3 or 5 min speech. I was thinking of how love mythologies influcence today society like Psyche and Cupid, Selene and Endymion to Usagi and Mamoru I hope my speech makes sense since so far I'm a half a page done.

To add on to Sailorasteroids suggestion of a picture, this site has every coloured manga picture Naoko Takeuchi's done.
Peachvampiress has an account on DeviantArt. Insanity Within.
And a Myspace account for her clothing designs.

"A number of times, the only thing that kept me out of a satin box was that I could size up the other guy maybe half a second quicker than he could me."

"What the fuck are you talking about? You're taped to a chair."

I know all the speech books say this and it's hard to believe, but I suggest you don't read the speech from the paper, or even memorize it. Rather, know your talking points well enough that you can improvise the actual words you'll say. If you do that, it sounds more natural and makes for a more entertaining speech.
