Animation errors.

I remember in the SS movie there's one: in the first scene where the Inners are making cookies, the cats are all sitting on stools. Diana is sitting between Luna and Artemis. At one point Luna and Artemis switch places and positions (one was sitting, the other lying down) for a few seconds, then switch back...

Alot of times nipples aren't drawn in TV anime because of TV guidelines I guess. Midori no Hibi had nipples erased when it aired on a Satelite station, and I heard nudity was blurred when ROD aired in Japan. I heard it's also based on the air time of the show. The old Cutey Honey TV show (from the 70's) had nipple-less nudity (although stuff like nude statues would have them) same goes for Cutey Honey Flash (in one henshin scene however an animator sneaked in a nipple in one frame XD), but then you see the two OVAs, New Cutey Honey and Re:Cutie Honey have tons of nudity, and nipples. Plus you see nudity being toned down from manga turning into anime. Just look at Inuyasha. Lots of times we see Kagome naked, then in the anime not much is shown, hair covering breasts, etc.

Acording to my girlfriend (and she should know) Michiru seems to hold her violin the wrong way. Would that be an animation error do you think?

Ah! I'd misunderstood her. Apparantly it seems to be strung upside down....

This isn't a very big deal, just something that really bugs me. Chibiusa's princess form is constantly being changed around...^^; First, in the R season, her dress is a smaller version of Neo-Queen Serenity's, without the onion-shaped sleeves. Then, in SS, it looks like a minature version of Princess Serenity's, except that when she first meets Pegasus and transforms, she doesn't have the little white clips in her hair. Then, when she's falling and Princess Serenity catches her, she has the clippies but not the moon symbol on her forehead. Maybe I'm looking into this a bit too much, but it's irritating.

I guess that's why I like the manga version of Princess Lady Serenity better, where she gets her own dress. (Which is very pretty, by the way). ^^

that thing happened in the R-episode when Usagi and Mamoru was babysitting. Usagi and Ami had civile cloths at Mamoru´s place, but when they was going to transform, thay had they schooluniforms

episode 88; right after Black Lady is turned back to Chibi-Usa, and Wiseman zaps everyone with black lightnings, Sailor Moon stands up and start to walk towards Wiseman. When she walks past Tux and Chibi-usa, her ponytails reaches her knees, but when she walks past Mars and Mercury, the ponytails are gone, and after that scene, they´re there again. Isn´t that weird??

In the R episode where Esmeraude(sp?)/Emerald gets turned into a dragon, when she swipes her tail and they all go flying, Sailor Mars ends up on the ground next to another one of the senshi(it's been years since I saw it, so forgive me). One of her shoes is green like Jupiter's outfit for some reason. O__o

I don't know if this is really an animation error, but I noticed that the character desgins change a few times in a season... Like Usagi could look "chibi" in one episode, but the next one, she could look like an adult.

One thing I've ntoiced is the inconsistency in Usagi and Mamoru's height difference. Sometimes they are drawn with as relatively small height difference like in this picture: http://www.birdangel.net/legend/usamamo ... 088_03.jpg

I guess if you wanted to be technical, Usagi should look a little under 5/6 Mamoru's height. The same would go for her standing next to Taiki.

first, at the end of ep.123, the girls walk towards the Mugen Academy, transformed, but in ep.124, when they arrives there, they´re un-transformed.

I notice stuff like that happening in a anime quite a bit. In Re:Cutie Honey, a similar thing happens.

[spoiler]At the end of episode 2, when see the Jill Tree come out of nowhere in the daytime, after Honey beats Scarlet Claw, then in episode three, during the night (which seems to be a little after the end of her battle with Scarlet) the Jill Tree JUST appears.[/spoiler]

Sorry for bumping a (semi) old topic, but I found a little error:

In Episode 50 (Usagi's Crisis! The Tiara Doesn't Work), at the beginning of the episode, Ikuko-mama (Usagi's mother) is pulling at Usagi to get out bed, Usagi falls out and almost onto Luna. Luna then bounces forward, and appears without an arm for a second (her paw is there, though):

I don't know HOW I noticed it (it only appears in 2 frames), I just did...

EDIT: Don't know if anyone's noticed this, but you can usually always tell when DiC pauses a scene that is supposed to be moving because there's these slight JPEG compression artifacts =P

Rattleman, the arm is there, it's just painted the same color as the pillow... Lord knows why. You can see the paw of the "missing" paw beyond her whiskers.

Here's something me and my friend noticed as we were watching episode 88. Not sure if it's an animation error or not, but this seemed like the place to put it. When Usagi is using the crystal to heal Chibiusa it seems extremley small, then when she starts battling the Death Phantom is gets really big. Bigger than normal actually.

Here's another one. In Japanese episode four of Sailor Moon, when Usagi is fighting the Shapely instructor guys just as the weight is about to hit the Shape Ray machine, you can see a small shot of Usagi's transformation sequence.

In Episode 13 (Girl Power! End of Jaedite), in one shot, Luna's ears appear completely purple (no pink):

In Episode 14 (A Powerful New Enemy! Nephrite's Evil Crest", when Naru and Usagi are jumping and yelling at Rui, they are behind a fence, and sometimes the fence is not drawn completely as they jump (is it meant to be that way, with that hole or did they just forget it?):
