Animation errors.

you know that episode where mamoru is captured by nehelenia and then sailor moon transforms in eternal sailor moon and levitates into the air to go after him?
now why did she appear untransformed (thar word exists right?) and barefooted

and another thing also. why chibiusa started dissapearing when mamoru was captured by nehelenia, but when usagi died at fiore's battle she remained alive, and also when usagi lost her dream mirror she was still very much alive and breathing

I think, I could be wrong, she was already barefooted when she transformed. She had just come out of Rei's shrine and in Japan you don't normally wear shoes inside. I have a friend of Indian background and I went to her house one time and we took our shoes off at the door, it's just custome in most Asian cultures I think. The second one though is a pretty good point. It was probably done in Stars to add extra drama, but it doesn't seem consistent considering before when Usagi's life was threatened Chibiusa was just fine. Although in the R movie we actually don't see her at that point, so she could have been disapeering. I wrote a little much I think.

Although in the R movie we actually don't see her at that point, so she could have been disapeering.

We do see her: right before the scene where the senshi beg Usagi to wake up, Chibiusa is sitting on the roof with the cats and Luna P. Luna hopes they're all right and Chibiusa says that it's OK, because Sailormoon is everyone's mother. She's in no way disappearing. Usagi's 'deaths' affecting Chibiusa, such as this one, are more of a continuity thing than a straight animation error, I think, though a number of them could be explained away.

I was just watching some SailorStars subs over, and in the episode "Luna Saw It! Idol Yaten's Real Face" near the end of the first half in the car, Yaten begins to pet Luna, and that particular bit ends with Yaten's hand on Luna's head. The next scene though, her hand is right by her side! It must have been pretty akward for Yaten to move her hand an odd 12 inches in 1/2 a second ^^;;

I noticed this last night when watching episode 33, "Saigono Sailor Senshi Venus toujou". When Kunzite has the Sailor Senshi trapped in his barrier, the sun starts to rise as the barrier gets tighter and tighter. The scene then switches to Zoicite chasing after Tuxedo Kamen, and when we return to seeing the trapped Sailor Senshi, it's suddenly dark outside again.

Hey, I'm new. Just thought I'd share with you what I saw.

Very first episode. When Sailor Moon backs off from the possessed shoppers, the bottom parts of Sailor Moon's bow go from red to white. ^_^

Also, in the R movie, the outside back of Fiore's cape changes from black, to white, to black again.

If you look closely when Sailor Moon does "Moon Tiara Action" in any series other than Classic or Stars, you can see her broach and choker change back to those of her Classic outfit for a few frames.

lol! That doesn't really suprise me, when you look at all the scenes where she comes and introduces herself as Sailor Moon, they all look pretty much the same as the orginal, the animation is the same, just her costume changes.

Yeah, they just reuse the same stock footage of 'Moon Tiara Action' in every season. Guess they couldn't see the point in re-drawing it everytime her brooch changed.

This isn't really an animation error but it's kind of surprising. I noticed that when Luna was transforming into a human in the S movie, when she turned sidewards, you can see one of her nipples. It's kind surprising that they would include it here and not in the other transformations nor in Sailor Stars' finale.

Have you ever seen Black Lady's transformation, from Chibiusa? That's pretty damn graphic. *shrug* It's a nipple, and it's more than a henshin. The difference is this: The senshi henshin, and don't change anything other than their clothes and accessories. Luna turnes into another SPECIES...a HUMAN. Chibiusa turn sinto her OLDER SELF. The senshi already HAVE nipples, grown-up breasts. The other two did not.

Also, when Usagi uses her disguise pen, you can glimpse her breasts growing fuller there, too. *shrugs*

When she turns to the side, her breasts grow, her legs get longer, etc. It's there. Derek pointed it out right away, I can see it.

I never thought about it that way.

Well here's another animation error if nobody mentioned it yet.

In the episode in the S season where it's Usagi's birthday and they fight at Tokyo Tower (I think it's part 2 of that little short story). When Moon crouched down to where Uranus was lying and told her to leave and let them handle Kaolinite, you can see Uranus' glove is the elbow-length ones! Then when Uranus shifts and starts to get up, it reverts back to her short ones.

I wonder if the animation people knew what they were doing? I noticed they used one of the less good-looking designs in that episode.

I can see it now! I enlarged the screen I was watching it on and fixed the video quality. That's so weird, it's like a balloon. I am now convinced Usagi's chest is made of rubber

One thing I've noticed in Sailor Moon R, is that at the end of episode 86, when Kadaberas is talking to Petz after the Sailor Senshi's battle against Wiseman, Kadabera's hair is green for a few seconds. Then, all of the sudden it's back to her regular hair color again.
