a lot of the graphics on there are old, but i'm slowly in the process of re-vamping the site with new graphics. The newest stuff is in the layouts, wallpapers, and 230x60 banners.

This is an old thread where Aya Reiko wanted to do what you're doing. You might want to PM her to see what's new.
http://www.smuncensored.com/forums/view ... ht=mailbox
It's not possible to add subs to the DVD and then watch it on the TV. You can use the program
DVDSubber to add the subs onto the DVD and watch it from the computer. Otherwise, you can reauthor the DVD with the subtitles and burn it onto a DVD-R and THEN you can watch it on the TV with subs. Confusing? You need to have a DVD burner to burn though.

Just a question: Are all toei's region 2 sailor moon dvds are remastered from a new print? I mean, is the first season also remastered? I know that Sailor Moon R, S, Super S and Stars are, but is the first season too (I'm asking the question because the first season dvds were released 3 years ago...)

Yes, the first season is remastered. And it's MUCH better than the R1 release.

Thanks. And are S and Super S R2 dvds better than R1 ones?

From what I've read and seen, yes. Then again, even the fansubs of S and SuperS had better audio (and even visual) quality. We got a decent translation (unlike VKLL's scripts), and nothing else.
I loathe the American division of Toei.

Do you think there is a chance for the R2 Sailor Stars dvds to be in stereo?

I've always wondered why ADV got such crappy masters...Because TOEI was afraid japanese people would purchase R1 dvds since no R2 dvds were released?? They didn't want R1 dvds to be better than theirs??

They used DIC's masters, from what I understand.

Yep, and they weren't able to get any better masters because either (a) DiC made no effort to obtan any better ones, or (b) Toei didn't want to fork over better masters when the sets were being worked on. Hell, could've been both, I could see ADV not worrying about the middleman (DiC in this case since they were the primary license holders who let ADV do their releases via sublicense) and going to Toei themselves and not having any luck.
I would believe Toei is more to blame, however not for the reason Lothos mentioned. Maybe partially so, but the fact they were releasing the R2s prior to the R1 sets even being announced. Toei has recentally been trying to enter the North American market themselves rather than have their anime be released via other companies as per traditional method. This is why all the Sailor Moon licenses have lapsed, as well as licenses for other titles, such as Saint Seiya, where the show stopped getting releases at one point over here because of this. ADV released all they were allowed to and no longer holds rights to that show. Basically, any show that Toei made will probably get this treatment in the R1 market unless they released it themselves over here.

What was exactly the content of original LDs? (audio and video?) except episodes of course.

Wow, time does fly! The R2 Vol.1 of Sailor Stars will be out on September 21.

I can't wait to see some screencaps. Hopefully somebody will post screencaps since this is the first ever official DVD release.

That's some nice use of color. . . but you'd think they'd have Eternal SM on instead of Super SM.
Things I think Are Funny Early in the Morning: If Batman were a Smurf: "Quick, Robin! We must smurf down to the Batcave and smurf the Batplane! Then we must smurf the batsmurf so we can smurf where the Joker is smurfing!"
The Croonerism Spate (explanations upon request)
Be careful with this one, there is a bit of a pun involved. Dr. Spooner described his visit to a castle: "In the center of the fortress was the Palace Court. The gated entrance to this area was the court palace."
