Live action PGSM!

It might be that your computer isn't fast enough to play a video file of such large size and high quality. My computer is the slowest of the slow, so whenever I download these kinds of episodes, I use a program called TMPGEnc to convert the AVI file to MPEG and a smaller size so it plays back smoothly. By smaller size, I mean the pixels of the video (height and width in pixels).Starscream wrote:For those of you who've managed to download the GOOD fansub from TV Nihon: does the video play alright? I'm using Windows Media Player - the simple one - and the video stalls a bit a few times, then rights itself a couple seconds later.

Lol, I know it wasn't. I just didn't know what else to call it. It was made by a guy named Rocky Solotoff, right?Tiff wrote: *twitch*

Me: This is coming from the kid who doesn't know what Viagra is!
Ko: It's cold medicine, right?
Our Group: NO!!!
Me: Can I just say?
Dylan: Sure, it's no weirder than what normally comes out of your mouth.
Me: (says what)
Ko: .....What's that?
Me: ......*starts crying*
Carley: STEVE! STEVE GET OVER HERE AND TELL KO WHAT VIAGRA DOES!
Steve: See, it's like this: The bridge goes up and the soldiers rush out....
Tiff: Aww, you killed someone for me. That's so sweet in a f***ed up sort of way!

At first I didn't really care much for the opening theme, but it grew on me. Now I find it to be pretty catchy and fun to listen to. I think that C'est la Vie is nice as well. I think the Pretty Guardian Sailormoon music is good in general -- I LOVE the music that plays in the first episode where Sailormoon meets Tuxedo Mask for the very first time.Starscream wrote:That song's stuck in my head, too....arghle >< Although that's the only actual songs I like right now (not a fan of "C'est la Vie").

I've never seen anime Akio :( He's quite bad-ass in the comic, though.Jeff wrote:Off-topic: It's Akio from Utena. You're the second person to not recognize it. What's so damn hard to see? It's sexy.Starscream wrote:OT: Who's your avatar, Jeff?
Sweet. I'll get on it as soon as BT hosts it (Rei-chan!)Jeff wrote:On-topic: The third episode has aired by now. It should be available for download within a few hours.

I'll admit, though, Akio looks pretty good there. I actually thought it might have been a fan-rendition of Kunzite or something.

I initially had some problems with it, too. I think what you have to do is right-click Save As, and then in the file name type in .torrent at the end. I really hope that helps. ^^;marspeach wrote:Is anyone else having trouble downloading Act 3 from the Saiyaman site? It seems like it is a website error, but it could be my computer.
Thank you, but now my computer is not letting me hit Save As when I right click. I don't know what's wrong. If I hit the thing to download it, it takes me to a page in HTML with funny characters on it. It didn't do this with any of the other files I downloaded from there, I don't know what's happening. AHH! I will never be able to watch Act 3!!! Panic!
I am a loser!

I had that problem at first, too. What you have to do is download Divx from http://www.divx.com and open it using that and if that still doesn't work, then you can download the xVid codec from http://www.xvidmovies.com/codec/. I recommend downloading both. I sincerely hope that helps.Parsley wrote:I downloaded the first episode, but I can only hear it and not see it. Anyone have any idea what codec I'm missing? Ack.
Thank you! I finally figured out that my content advisor was somehow turned on, so I disabled it and then could click save target as. It is downloading now.
Something is wrong with the video? Oh well, it's better than nothing I guess.
Since I got that out of the way, here are some opinions-
The Sailor fuku need work. They look really, really bad. All the girls are very cute, especially Ami. Mamoru is very hot, except for the almost mullet. He seemed like a real jerk. Motoki is even hotter, but he seemed very dumb.
I have to get off the computer now.

You're welcome. I'm glad you're able to download it now. Anyway, I thought the sailor fukus looked fine ... maybe the bows were a little too big, but they still looked pretty good. I thought that all the actors and actresses looked good and suited the characters they were playing except for Jadeite ... ugh. The wig just made him look absolutely ridiculous. I kind of wish they had just left him with his regular hair because it's easier to take him seriously that way.marspeach wrote:Thank you! I downloaded Act 3 with no problems.
It was a good episode, though I can't wait for genvid.com to post the summary. Mars has a new attack "Youma Taisan" which is I think equivalent to "Demon Disperser" (or "Demon Begone", but that sounds like a roach spray...) Anyways, Rei's actress is good, very cold. Can't wait for Mako-chan to show up
Episode 3 rocked! My opinion, basically copied and pasted from my Genvid post ^^;;
There was more that I didn't understand this time than last time... I'll be looking forward to the Genvid synopsis so I know what's going on in crucial parts like that scene where Usagi saves Rei from the angry mob.
The entire scene at Karaoke Crown - first with Ami's honesty and Motoki's stupidity, and then with the quiz in the secret hideout - was absolutely hilarious. The quiz was an ingenious way of getting the exposition across in an entertaining way.
Rei is so cool.
Ikuko-mama is SCARY. WTF is she on?! O___o
Sailor Mars' transformation was cool, but I'm not sure I like "Youma Taisan" as her attack. Super-generic!
Mercury Aqua Mist being an offensive attack? That just about makes sense. Mercury Aqua Mist opening a portal into another dimension? Uh, no.
Is it just be, or do the bows look different this episode? ^^;
I was expecting Jadeite to die in this episode, like he did in the third manga chapter. Oh well, the fact that Nephrite is in the preview reassures me that he will die pretty soon. However, other than that the preview is quite bizarre. I hope that isn't PGSM's interpretation of the masquerade ball from chapter 4 of the manga.
Anyway, overall it was great. Dammit, now there's a whole week to go until the next episode!
