Leaving for Finland

Hey all.

Not that anyone cares, but I'm leaving tomorrow (the 12th) for Finland. I'll be gone until the 25th. You all be good without me. I'll take lots of pictures for everyone. Pray that I'll catch all my flights.

I'm so.....tired. Interestng thing about London, even though they all speak English, i might as well be in Paris cause i can't understand a word anybody is saying (and apparently it goes both ways too, everyone goes "huh?" when i talk.)

Oh. The Terminals. I officially hate airports now. They suck. It wouldn't have been that bad If i didn't have to go through 7 on the way there (LAS (Las Vegas), ATL (Atlanta) , EWR (Newark), LGW (London Gatwick), LHR (London Heathrow), AMS (Amsterdam), and HEL (Helsinki)) and 6 on the way back (HEL, AMS, LHR, LGW, ATL, and LAS). Most of them weren't that big of a hassle, except London. LONDON SUCKS. ENGLAND SUCKS. Sorry to anyone who lives in Britian here, but I will NEVER fly through, visit, or even mention the word England in my life AGAIN.

Sorry, a little side rant here. I find it ridiculous that everything was SO expensive in London even though the pound is worth like a dollar and a half. It was ridiculous. Why London has TWO airports RIDICULOUSLY far away from each other is beyond me (instead of just 1 big airport). The fact that I could understand the people in FINLAND better than I could in England (which is a english speaking country) also was retarded. Also, why the heck can't they just adopt the Euro? It would be so much easier. I take counsel in the fact though that Portugal kicked the crap out of them on Thursday night. Rawr.

Anyway, I get my photos on monday, so I'll upload some pictures and show them to you. =)

How was the weather there was it really cold or the complete opposite?? Never been there before must of been an interesting place to go!

I'm sure it's £1 = $1.60 and i have to admit i live in London and i think the U.S is so much more cheaper!

And the weather was nice. When it was cloudy and rainy it was REALLY cold, but when the sun was out it was really nice. It ranged from 10 - 17 degrees (Celsius), 10 on a cold day (i might be overestimating this, it might've only been like 12, i'm not really used to C), and 15 or 16 on a warm day (as high as 17 i think). For the most part it was really nice. I loved it there. I wish i was still there, if I had my way I'd still be in Finland right now.

I'll explain them. The first one, temple.bmp is actually Las Vegas (if you can't tell). It's about a half-mile from my house (my house would be off to the left of the picture). I climbed up the mountain a little to get a good picture of the city with the temple in it. That big building with the pillars is the temple. Very pretty.

In the Finland folder, the order of the pictures is actually in reverse order.......so I'll start from the back. 026-023 is a few days before I left. That's a good buddy of mine Elder Slaugh (in the first picture) and Elder Lootens (the one with the Zoolander pose going on). I dunno who the other two are (it was the first day I met them). 019-022 are Elder Mathusek and Watts (Watts is the taller one with the striped shirt). Mathusek is a good friend of mine. The girl is really cute. I forget her name. =\ 018 is my cousin marshall eating mcdonalds in my backyard. He's a jerk =\

016-017 are pictures I snapped of Manhatten while i was in Newark airport on my way to Europe. They didn't turn out that well. 015 is at the airport in Amsterdam. Everyone's wearing orange cause it's the Eurocup2004. 013-014 are at a beach in Finland. That's my buddy Mikko (I went to Finland to visit him) and his buddy Esko. Mikko is the younger one.

012 is a cemetary. He snapped that one. 011 is him and his little sister Terhi. 010 is the town he lived in, Kokkola. You can see the train station in the background that he picked me up from. He's going into the pharmacy cause he had a bad allergy attack (his eyes were really red). 009 is his brother Pekka. 008 is Mikko and Esko speeding by on their motorcycle. 007 is their cat Pikki.

006 is his sister Maarit and his brother Jukka (The J is a Y sound). 005 is Pekka, his girlfriend Heidi, and Jukka again. 004 is me at the ocean. It's about 11:30 at night in that picture. IT WAS FREEZING COLD cause it had been raining all day. 003 is me and him. 002 is him, he's not sleeping i just caught him with his eyes closed. 001 is just after midnight, still pretty light out.

Finland 2 folder. 025 is Pekka, Mikko, and Maarit. Pekka and Mikko are playing the violin while Maarit is playing the piano. The picture didn't turn out that well i was sad. 024 is me infront of a fountain. 023 is right before we were leaving for Tampere and I realized I didn't have a picture of his parents, so i snapped a picture of this. The flash blinded his dad and you can kinda see his mom. 021-022 are pretty churches in Tampere. 020 is him on the phone. 018-019 are in a tower at a theme park in Tampere. 017 is at the theme park, you can't tell but it's POURING. 014--16 are DOLPHINS! At the theme park.

013 is me on crack. He snapped one when i wasn't ready. 007-012 are random pictures of me, him, and Tampere. 006 is one when I threw the camera on the bed and it accidently went off. 005-003 is right before I left. I had to dress up for the flight (since I fly for free on delta). 003 is me trying to look happy but actually i was TOTALLY bummed out. Sad =( 002 is Vegas from my balcony. 001 is my house (i had film left so i had to snap some pictures).

Well, that's my photographic tour of finland. I'll have a description of what we actually did later.
