Well, i'm leaving for a-kon in about five minutes or so...as soon as Derek gets outta the bathroom... >__>;

We're back! Tiff is taking a nap right now and Parakisu is (hopefully) in a plane on his way home to NC. We all had a great time, and in the next few days you'll all be hearing all about it, but right now I really don't feel like typing so much. If the train going from Chicago to Syracuse has an outlet like the train that went vice versa did, I'll probably type out a long ass thingy on the train.

However, to keep everybody happy until they see wirteups and stuff about the con, I have a pic of all the SMU staff present at A-kon. It came out pretty good, though like most of my pics, I look stoned. -_-;; Anyways, the pic is in the URL below (I have a really fricken high res one if anyone really wants that when I get back home, my housemate's camera takes pics at really high res (close to 1800 x something) and all my pics are that size until I scale them down like I did this one). Tiff is on the left, Parakisu the center, and stoned Dan on the right. Enjoy!

My bad, Tiffu-san, I was saying that, indeed, I thought he was a girl before seeing the pic (and looking at the new profile thingie o.O;;; ) . LOL. But then, I see the picture, and I think you're all cute (really n_n).

And you say gay men tend to act more feminine, when I was saying... something kinda stupid, lol, since I said it's not because he's gay that he acts like a girl. And then, I say, bwah, it doesn't matter anyway, cause gay or not, I still like him n_n

*that's what happens when you think you have a high level in English but end up making sentences.... that sometimes don't make THAT much sense XD*

All right. Most of you want an a-kon report, and so you shall have it. Beware: This is quite the long post. This was originally written for my blog, so it explains who people are. Just ignore that since you should know who Dan and Parakisu are.

Hrm..Let's see. I shall start from Thursday. Thursday night we picked up Dan, my fellow SMU partner and someone i've known and worked with for about 5 years, and it was quite the fun adventure finding our way back from Dallas. It took us about three tries, but once we got on the road it was all good...until Derek nearly killed us going over a set of railroad tracks ¬.¬;

Friday morning we awoke, bought food and gas, and set out for A-kon. Sadly, we ran a bit late and that left poor Parakisu (A dear, dear friend of mine and chibi-mod of the SMU forums) and Lydia (one of Parakisu's IRL friends) stranded at the hotel until we came. Luckily they weren't waiting TOO long, and it was a joyous meeting for the SMU-goers. We quickly got our room, unloaded our crap, and began the con.

Lydia and myself opted for the Gothic Lolita look for cosplay, and I must say we both looked quite adorable. We got a crapload of pictures taken of us (one of me found at http://www.fansview.com/2004/akon/0604d40020.jpg and one of Lydia found at http://www.fansview.com/2004/akon/0604d40022.jpg . Thanks, http://www.fansview.com !) and a lot of compliments on our dresses. Thanks, Jo, for the dress! The two of us also got interviewed for an anime-type magazine, which we will be recieving in the mail! YAY! We spent most of the morning simply walking around and scoping the area, and also getting to know eachother a bit more. I must say Parakisu and I clicked instantly, which made for a very fun weekend. Dan is too damn quiet =P and we kept losing him in the crowd -___-;;But either way, the four of us (Derek spent most of his time LARPing) had a blast. We had fun watching music videos, raiding the dealer's room (I had to almost drag Parakisu and Lydia out of there before they blew their entire money's worth -_-; ) swimming, making fun of and enjoying cosplay, playing DDR, and going to panels.

We then ventured out of the hotel to seek food, and found a greasy little pizza joint run by a guy that Parakisu deemed an Asshole. We also blasphemied a church by wanting to go in and ask for Jesus Crackers (©Tiffu) and Jesus Juice (©Parakisu) because of our insane hunger ^^;; Our hunger was sated by the inhalation of pizza (mostly devoured by Dan....damn, that boy can eat) and soda, and we ventured off for more fun.

Friday night was spent singing Karaoke and with me and Parakisu nearly commiting the murder of a group of girls who wouldn't STFU or stop trying to sing with us. We abandoned the Karaoke for the
J-Pop room, where we talked more, and then declined both the Friday night Pyscho Le Cemu concert and the Yaoi Fest both due to ridiculously long lines. Poor Dan spent the evening feeling sickly from too much pizza combined with an overabundance of DDR.

Saturday was spent cosplaying yet again, trying out for game shows, visiting panels and raiding the dealer's room yet again, me and Lydia going to a Gothic Lolita picnic, swimming yet again, going to the Saturday night Psycho Le Cemu concert, and going to the rave directly following. I had quite the blast dancing with glow sticks and being all techno-like. Psycho Le Cemu put on a pretty good show (especially the little comedy skit in the middle), and I admit I enjoyed it.

Saturday night was also met with a bit of humor. After the concert, we wanted to head upstairs to rest up a bit before the dance, so we stood in front of the elevators, waiting. There was also a wedding reception going on at the same time, and this snotty little bitch of a woman was waiting with I guess what was her boyfriend. She glances at us (Mainly me, with my baggy black JNCOs, my hello kitty punk keychain, and my glowsticks, and Parakisu with his many glowsticks and innocent, mishceivous grin), and her boyfriend says he's going to go check on something. Immediately, she grasps his arm and says quite loudly, "Dont leave me here with them. They'll do their...weird glowstick thing. Don't leave me here! LOOK! SHE HAS HELLO KITTY DON'T LEAVE ME!" Parakisu and I raise our eyebrows, and immediately chime in with "Heaven forbid we stand here...Yes, and right after we do
our glowsticks and hello kitty (as though the damn thing is a drug..Yes..I need my Kitty fix...) we're going to sacrific a virgin." She then replies with "SEE?! They're going to sacrifice a virgin...You guys are going to swing your glowsticks around aren't you?! AREN'T YOU?! .........Do any of you have a cigarette?"

So. You're afraid we'll beat you with our glowsticks and sic hello kitty upon you...but you want a cigarette from us? Too bad none of us smokes, you uppity bitch.

We proceeded to gape more at this bitch wonder, give a few more sarcastic quips, then we were upstairs laughing our damn asses off. We decided that the next time we saw her, we'd march toward her chanting "HELLO KITTY REQUIRES LIFE!". Sadly, we didn't get to see her again.

Sunday I awoke with a phone call saying I got into the Anime Pyramid Game. We checked out, and went straight to the dealer's room for last-minute buying (where I purchased an adorable Ein plushie and some delicious almond crush pocky) and then to the game room....where Tiffu won teh l33t championship. I SMOKED their asses, and won the game. For getting the Super Six (You find it hidden under a topic, and have to get all six words right), I won a Samurai X DVD boxset, and for simply winning the game, they gave me a Hoshin Engi DVD boxset. I also got to pick 5 more DVDs, so I got three Slayers OAVS (Gorgeous, Excellent, and Premium), A Lupin the 3rd movie, and a Kiddy Grade DVD.

All in all, I made out like a damn bandit.

Then, it was time to see Parakisu and Lydia off. We took some group photos and were all set to put them on a shuttle...until they realized they needed money and the ATM wouldn't accept Lydia's card. So we made a trip to the airport for them (And really, it's no problem Parakisu =P It just meant more time spent with you guys <3), and saw them off, which made me sad.

Dan, Derek and I made the trip home, then BACK to Dallas Monday to drop Dan off at the train station. We said OUR goodbyes, and that brought the a-kon weekend to a close. All in all, it was a great trip, and I feel closer to both Dan and Parakisu as a result of it. We definitely have to do this again.

Also, I have adorable little drawings I drew in the hotel of some of our adventures.. I shall scan and post them later.

That's so funny! Though I wonder if alcohol or other mind-altering substance wasn't involved. (for the bitch, not (necessarily) you.) Nonetheless, I hope one day to inspire that level of fear in a normal person.

Although, it *was* an anime con, so there's probably no shortage of virgins to sacrifice. ~_^

Not fair for Tiffu-sama to play against mere mortals, but for that many DVD's, I guess it's ok. XD Please, tell us about the play of the game(Sailorasteroid <3 Pyramid): what kind of words had to be guessed? Anime character names? (veteran Pyramid viewers will know names are always the worst) Or just words associated with anime? Was there a category round?

All in all, it was a great trip, and I feel closer to both Dan and Parakisu as a result of it. We definitely have to do this again.
