I prostrate my self before you and your l33t skills. ::worship:: I wish only to one day, be cool like you with PHP *is still an include novice*. :::marvels at the new features and plays with a few radio button::

I do have a question. When I registered I disabled the smiley feature, however when I posted something recently the smile feature was back on. I've looked through the new profile navigation, but I was unable to find the section that allows me to disable smilies. ^^ where is it located?

Heh, I wish I could take credit for all the code, but I only took the time to take code people already spent much time to put together and apply them to these forums. While I spent a good three hours doing that for these two giant block, it was only doing a bunch of changes to the forum code that the mod file told me to do, I couldn't do all that on my own, at least not yet. I'm still trying to familiarize myself more and more with PHP as time goes on (SMU, videogame database, weblog, soon to be anime DVD database, soon to be art site for a friend), so I wouldn't put myself anywhere near the l33t level yet, just learning still myself. ^^;;;

As for the option to disable smilies, I accidentally had it set to have that and a couple other little options to be overridden. You should be able to disable them now, sorry about that. ^^;

Dan, I don't know if this is related to the new code or not, but I've been unable to make a new topic since last night. I think it might be an error with the calendar function, based on the error message I'm getting when trying to make a new topic:

Whether or not you actually made the code, it still impressive that you were able to intergrate such a large, and probably complex, series of coding into the forums. As complicated as the nw profile control looks, it was probably even harder to install. ::hats off to you:: I tried to add hacks into my B2 system and is errored like a s.o.b. I'm not giving up, but it was still aggervaiting.

The posting of new topics has been fixed. It looks like I overlooked a part of one line when applying the calendar code, which thnkfully made it easy to find and very quick to fix. I have to say, if that's the only part of code that I looked over, then I am really happy and will probably celebrate when I get back home (at my parent's now). ^_^;;

^_^; I dunno what to say to that except thanx or those kind words. And don't give up on adding code to your system, you'll figure it out soon enough. If you need any help, IM me or something and I'll gladly help you out. ^_^

Ah, the new colors are there now--woohoo! Look at me in my new user-violet (That is violet, right? Sometimes I can't tell violet from similar colors

), though the pretty Board Founder color is gone (although I'm guessing no one to whom it applies will complain. ^_^). It's also somewhat counterintuitive to have users more brightly-colored than mods, but I'm sure I'll get used to it quickly.

Also, I see the Member Bulletin Board has gone members-only. Don't I feel priviliged now!

It's a nicely subtle, or subtly nice, piece of code to simply have the board not appear if you're not logged in, instead of having it appear and be locked.

Hmm... good point, that does seem to be more common for most forums. I've got those two colors switched now, that's what I get for changing these colors at like 3AM. ^^;;;

As for the member bulliten board thingy, I figured since the board is only about the actual users themselves, there's no need to have it be public. Glad you like it that choice. ^_^

There seems to be a problem concerning hiding your email in the public profile. While I selected "no" on Always show my email it's still displaying it in the user profile. Was it a problem with the coding or did you purposely disable it?

Sorry it took so long to respond to this, I accidentally looked over it quick when I was at my parent's when it was posted and forgot about it However, I would double check the settings because there might be a chance that it might not have carried over when changing the profile control panel since I noticed there are e-mails that don't appear on the forum pages. As for the public profile thing, well, all profiles aren't actually public, you need to have an account to see them at all. So no need to worry about the profile pages. If it turns out that it is set and not working, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
