Summer Banner Contest

Summer is coming up, and so is the SMU Summertime Banner Contest!

May's contest will actually be for a banner displayed in JUNE, and throughout the summer. It is a Sailor Moon bathing suit contest!

1) Your banner must depict a character from sailor moon in some sort of bathing suit, beach, pool, or tropical-esque setting.
NOTE: ALL PICTURES MUST BE TASTEFUL. No pictures depicting gratuitous nudity or sexual poses, please. If you wish to display TASTEFUL and slight nudity, show the picture to me first and I will either okay it or refuse it. Obviously, complete nudity is not allowed, as it is a BATHING SUIT banner.
2) Banner must be 300 x 137 in size and in GIF or JPG format. You may submit up to 2.
3) If you use someone's fanart, you MUST have their permission first, and if they want credit, you MUST credit them somewhere on the banner.
4) The banner needs to say "Sailor Moon Uncensored Forums" and have the url, "http://www.smuncensored.com" on it. This must be done in a readable font (this includes size, style, and color)
5) In order to enter, you must have been a member for at least two weeks and an ACTIVE POSTER AS OF TODAY. Anyone who joins the forums after this is NOT ELIGIBLE. This isn't to be mean, but I don't want people joining just for the contest, and we have too many members who have never posted or have only posted once or twice. If you are unsure as to whether you qualify as an "active member", contact me.

GUIDELINES:

1) Please try to use a picture of decent quality.
2) Please try to use a readable font. I cannot stress this enough.
3) Be creative! Don't just paste bathing suit Usagi over a blue background. Use some imagination!

THE DEADLINE IS SATURDAY, MAY 29. I'm making it such a long deadline, becuase I want more entries, people!

Prizes are as follows:

1st: Banner displayed all of June, award made by me.
2nd: Banner displayed all of July, award made by me.
3rd: Banned displayed all of August, award made by me.

For actual prizes, I am not sure yet. I'll have to probably wait until I go to a-kon or something. There WILL at least be a prize for first place, but give me some time.

I would like you to upload the banner to your webspace (if you have one) and paste the link here, so that everyone may view your creation. If you do not have webspace, email it to me, and I'll upload it for you. DO NOT POST THE IMAGE ITSELF HERE.

I'm guessing that the 300x137 is KB. All I have is Paint so is it possibile to make a banner in that program that meets these requirements?

No. That is the height and width, the pixels. You can do that with paint. All you do is go to "Image", "Attributes", and then for "width" put in 300, for "height" put in 137.

If you have an old version of paint, you may not be able to save it as a gif or jpg. If that is the case, send me the bitmap file, and i'll convert it in photoshop.

Now, I am not able to have actual prizes this time, and I apologize. My money situation is NOT good right now.

But I did make something a bit more interesting than awards..I made special little avatars for all of the winners!

First things first: congratulations Starscream! Congratulations Koi! A brief acceptance speech: Third place is wonderful for me--it's about (total number of entries minus 3) places higher than I expected to get! ^_^ I'd like to thank the contest organizer(s), all the SMU proprietors, and of course the producers of Sailormoon, especially Takeuchi-sama. Last but not least, I need to thank all the board members who will see and appreciate the work I have created. Thank you all for serving as my motivation.

That's all different kinds of OK. In all honesty, the prize was an intfinitessimal part of my reason for participating.
