How do so many of you guys have such large and high-quality avatars?
I had to kill the quality of mine just to make it fit...

I use the program IFranView to lessen the size of my avatars, but keep the quality. It's great. I'm not sure where you get it..type in a search, and it should come up.

Photo Impression is also really good. I can take a 500x500 pic and size it down into and 80x80 high-quality avatar.

this might sound stupid but how do i get a avatar i cant find a way to get my own image it wont let you copy and paste
You need to enter your profile ( profile link ) select profile again on the sub-nav. From there select avatar on the sub-nav. After that you'll come to the avatar page. Here you can add an avatar to your profile. (all bold words are linked images for illustration)
You can choose an avatar from the vast avatar gallery if you havn't already gotten one picked out. If you have one that you'd like to upload select one of the other methods. Such as uploading one from your computer or from a URL. Please make sure that you obey the limit and the rules if you use your own. No animated avatars. It mist be no bigger than 100x100 pixels and can be no more than 10 KB in file size.
If you have one picked out but the file size is to big I suggest you use IfranView. It reduces the image file size without ruining the quality of the image. ( http://www.irfanview.com/ )

And really, why shouldn't we be afraid? In case you haven't heard, life is terminal. Cigarettes will kill you. So will your cellphone. Your car is a deadly weapon and alcohol is a quiet killer.
