2008 Valentine Banner Contest

It's almost Valentine's day, and so it's time to begin the Valentine Banner contest!

This year, I want you all to create a banner depicting love/romance/etc between any two characters OTHER than the inner/outer senshi.

This can include but is not limited to: Chibiusa (who, yes, I know is a senshi, but not one of the main inner/outer), villains, side characters (such as Naru/Umino, Motoki/Reika, etc), and family.

It can include couples in love, crushes, unrequited love, etc.

Rules:

1) Your banner must contain two characters OTHER than the inner/outer senshi depicted in some sort of romance. It does NOT have to be pink or red...valentine's day/love can mean any color =P

2) Banner must be 300 x 137 in size and in GIF, PNG, or JPG format. You may submit up to 2.

3) You are allowed to use brushes, backgrounds, and edit any original images. Photoshop filters are fine, and I have no problem if you want to add extra pictures/clip parts. If you use a brush, credit the brushmaker in your post. Please be careful about text and fonts. I MUST be able to read it.

4) The banner needs to say "Sailor Moon Uncensored Forums" or some form of it (shortening it to SMU Forums is fine) and have the url, "http://www.smuncensored.com" (or smuncensored.com, etc) on it. This must be done in a readable font (this includes size, style, and color)

5) In order to enter, you must have been a member for at least two weeks and an ACTIVE POSTER AS OF TODAY. Anyone who joins the forums after this is NOT ELIGIBLE. This isn't to be mean, but I don't want people joining just for the contest, and we have too many members who have never posted or have only posted once or twice. If you are unsure as to whether you qualify as an "active member", contact me.

OTHER GUIDELINES:

1) Please try to use a readable font, both type and color. I cannot stress this enough.

2) Creativity <3~

THE DEADLINE IS SATURDAY, JAN 26, 2008.

I would like you to upload the banner to your webspace (if you have one) and paste the link here, so that everyone may view your creation. If you do not have webspace, email it to me, and I'll upload it for you. DO NOT POST THE IMAGE ITSELF HERE.

Prizes are as follows:

1st: Banner displayed Feb 3-16, avatar made by me, and a $20 gift certificate to any online store of your choice ^_^

2nd: Banner displayed Jan 27-Feb 2, avatar made by me.

3rd: Banned displayed Feb 17-29, avatar made by me.

Nice banner. Who's the girl, though? I can't recognize her, probably because I haven't watched Sailor Moon in a while. She reminds me of Nehelenia and Queen Beryl.

It's human Luna from the SMS movie. That's human Luna and Kakeru.

Actually its Luna in human form and the doctor/scientist she falls in love with cant remember his names I think its Kekaru?

And id better get to scanning some of my manga for this

Okay, well, we only had three entries (yet another disappointment..should I stop doing contests, people? There's no point if hardly anybody responds), so everybody places this time.

Congrats Butterscotch and SeiUsa both of your banners were very nice. And I hope the contest do not stop its been fun trying to create banners and by looking at others im learning the ropes to it. I just hope the next contest more people join in. I dont do it for winning myself just to display my work even if its not as good as others its fun to try.

I can understand your disapoitment over the apparant lack of interest in the banner contests lately, but I hope you don't stop doing them. It was these contest that got me into doing graphics in the first place ^_^
