Halloween Banner Contest!

Bet you thought I forgot, didn't you? DIDN'T YOU? HAH. I SHOWED YOU.

Our annual SMU Halloween Banner contest is here. This year, I've decided to do something a bit different than villains.

1) Your banner must depict the so-called mistress of darkness herself, the Silence, the senshi of destruction..Sailor Saturn. It can be from anime or manga. This can include:

Hotaru
Sailor Saturn (in any form)
Mistress 9

NOTE: ALL PICTURES MUST BE TASTEFUL. No pictures depicting gratuitous nudity or sexual poses, please. If you wish to display TASTEFUL and slight nudity, show the picture to me first and I will either okay it or refuse it. Obviously, complete nudity is not allowed.
2) Banner must be 300 x 137 in size and in GIF or JPG format. You may submit up to 2.
3) If you use someone's fanart/doujin, you MUST have their permission first, and if they want credit, you MUST credit them somewhere on the banner.
4) The banner needs to say "Sailor Moon Uncensored Forums" and have the url, "http://www.smuncensored.com" on it. This must be done in a readable font (this includes size, style, and color)
5) In order to enter, you must have been a member for at least two weeks and an ACTIVE POSTER AS OF TODAY. Anyone who joins the forums after this is NOT ELIGIBLE. This isn't to be mean, but I don't want people joining just for the contest, and we have too many members who have never posted or have only posted once or twice. If you are unsure as to whether you qualify as an "active member", contact me.

GUIDELINES:

1) Please try to use a picture of decent quality.
2) Please try to use a readable font. I cannot stress this enough.
3) Be creative! If you can find a way to add dark or poetic text..do it! If you can merge two pictures to create one..do it! CREATIVITY = BROWNIE POINTS WITH TIFFU. CREATIVITY!!!!! *FOAMS AT MOUTH*

and..just a note...Halloween = scary. Keep that in mind. I don't want flowery, happy, shiny Hotaru. I want demonic, "I'm gonna kick your ass" Hotaru.

THE DEADLINE IS SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24TH.

Prizes are as follows:

3rd: Banner displayed Sept. 25 - Oct. 1 , avatar made by me.
2nd: Banner displayed Oct. 2 - Oct. 15, avatar made by me.
1st: Banned displayed Oct. 16 - Oct. 31, avatar made by me.

(note: I reversed the order becuase I want 1st place desplayed on Halloween, and it's also displayed two extra days)

I would like you to upload the banner to your webspace (if you have one) and paste the link here, so that everyone may view your creation. If you do not have webspace, email it to me, and I'll upload it for you. DO NOT POST THE IMAGE ITSELF HERE.

Yay for the first time you'ev submitted a banner!

But two things:

1) It must be in gif or jpg format.

2) You may only submit 2. So pick the 2 versions you like best, and re-submit them as gif or jpg (if possible)

lol she used photoshop, I imagine. It's what I use, and I believe what Tempest uses. You take two pictures, layer them and then merge them using various tools and such.

Yes, you can submit.

Might I suggest something? I don't know if it's just the computer at work, but the text on that is REALLY dark...to the point that I really can't read it. I suggest lightening it a bit, if you can. If you can't, don't worry about it.

(and don't say anything about me double-posting, people. I only did it becuase I wanted Musashi to see this post =P)

Decided to go for the 'scary and bloody' effect... which is a very new style for me ^^; I might make another if I have time, but I have a lot of work to do.

It's all coolz.

But yeah, i use photoshop (it is my God). Normally I would just review the PSD file and explain what I did, but I did a lot of 'merge downs' and I can't clearly remember what I did. :/

Thanks for the comments. :D I made a few adjustments to it so the link is updated/changed. Just to let Tiff know and all that.

I tried, but couldn't. ^^;; I saved it only as JPG, which got all layers stuck together.
I can read the SMU forums bit fine on my computer, the only one I think you could have trouble with is the URL.
