Here's my first entry:

The Japanese text reads "Watashi no yume wo shinjiteru", which means "I believe in my dreams". I got the idea from the Monkees' song Daydream Believer. When I made the banner, I was thinking about my dreams and goals. School is about so much more than studying and passing tests. The reason we are in school is to be able to achieve our hopes and dreams. As we all know, Ami's dream is to become a doctor, so I thought the images I used suit the idea perfectly. This banner is dedicated to everyone with hopes and dreams everywhere.

I'm probably examining the rules a bit too deeply, but hey.

EDIT: I should probably explain what I did. I combined these two images which came from the Materials Collection and the April 2003 website calander. I had to reconstruct the image on the right because the calendar was running through part of it. I then simply used a few brushes on the whole image. It's really simple and didn't take long to make, but I like the way it turned out.

EDIT: I just noticed that I need to fix my banner. Stupid Corel Draw automatically capitalized the H in "http://www.smuncensored.com".

I have a graphics program sitting on my computer and if I ever get around to learning how to use it I'll enter a banner contest. Promise. Don't hold your breath though.

T_T there weren't as many entries as I hope there'd be...but the entries I had were all very lovely, and quite creative. I am pleased with the creativity. ^^

Well, I was going to PM SlrJoeCool about possibly helping me with those CDs like he offered...I'm not sure yet. I need some time to mill on that.
