Fall Banner Contest!

Usually, I do a summer contest, and then a Halloween contest..but I never got a chance to do a summer one. So, a brilliant idea came to the Tiffu last night.

For the end of July and beginning of August, I want to display a banner with a Back to School theme! Many of us are beginning college, going back to college, finishing up high school, etc...and I thought, what better way to celebrate (*snicker*) than to make creative and fun banners depicting such....wonderful..times. ^^;

So here goes!

1) Your banner must depict a "Back to School" theme from Sailor Moon. It can be either from manga, PGSM, or anime. This can include:

Poses/scenes in school uniforms
Study group screenshots
Screenshots of the girls actually IN school/class
Teachers/Professors

And if you really want to stretch it...I'll accept pictures of any of the girls on a computer, reading a book, etc..so long as you make it creative, and that it actually looks like they're doing something scholastic.

NOTE: ALL PICTURES MUST BE TASTEFUL. No pictures depicting gratuitous nudity or sexual poses, please. If you wish to display TASTEFUL and slight nudity, show the picture to me first and I will either okay it or refuse it. Obviously, complete nudity is not allowed.
2) Banner must be 300 x 137 in size and in GIF or JPG format. You may submit up to 2.
3) If you use someone's fanart, you MUST have their permission first, and if they want credit, you MUST credit them somewhere on the banner.
4) The banner needs to say "Sailor Moon Uncensored Forums" and have the url, "http://www.smuncensored.com" on it. This must be done in a readable font (this includes size, style, and color)
5) In order to enter, you must have been a member for at least two weeks and an ACTIVE POSTER AS OF TODAY. Anyone who joins the forums after this is NOT ELIGIBLE. This isn't to be mean, but I don't want people joining just for the contest, and we have too many members who have never posted or have only posted once or twice. If you are unsure as to whether you qualify as an "active member", contact me.

GUIDELINES:

1) Please try to use a picture of decent quality.
2) Please try to use a readable font. I cannot stress this enough.
3) Be creative! If you can find a way to add witty or funny text..do it! If you can merge two pictures to create one..do it! CREATIVITY = BROWNIE POINTS WITH TIFFU. CREATIVITY!!!!! *FOAMS AT MOUTH*

THE DEADLINE IS SATURDAY, JULY 23RD.

Prizes are as follows:

1st: Banner displayed July 24 - Aug. 6 , avatar made by me.
2nd: Banner displayed Aug. 7 - Aug. 20, avatar made by me.
3rd: Banned displayed Aug. 21 - Sep. 3, avatar made by me.

And if Dan is nice (*bats eyes at Dan*), he may offer up some CDs for prizes again this year. XD WE LOVE YOU, DAN.

I would like you to upload the banner to your webspace (if you have one) and paste the link here, so that everyone may view your creation. If you do not have webspace, email it to me, and I'll upload it for you. DO NOT POST THE IMAGE ITSELF HERE.

Eh, not this time for two reasons. The first one (the bigger one), as most everyone knows I cleared out phobos, and I was using that for a lot of storage, including MP3s. There was a bunch of my things I didn't backup since I knew they already were backed up or easily accessible for re-download, which includes my MP3s. So my SM MP3s aren't really availble to me at the moment, and I don't anticipate having that rectified before the contest ends.

Second, there's the points system, and that's my big plan to have really big prizes and why the whole points game is lasting so long. So since I'm unable to dish out CDs this time around, I will dish out points. 30 for 1st, 20 for 2nd, and 10 for 3rd.

I have the Memorial Song Box... and I could easily make CDs. I thought Tiff meant REAL ones not burned ones.

I have that same box and some other CDs as well. So far, I have yet to give out my actual CDs, just copy the CDs I have, or use MP3s for the CDs I don't. As for you not caring about points, no big prizes for you when the time comes then. >P

Here is my entry. Link of DOOM

All of the materials were taken from the Sailor Moon: Another Story game. The backdrop is a screen shot of the nurses office in Juuban Junior High, which I edited to scoot the beds over and make room for where the girls are standing.

The girls are, of course, Usagi, Ami, Makoto and Naru. I only put in the Juuban students, as it would be strange to see Minako and Rei in the wrong school. I edited the eyes on the sprites to widen them. It's hardly noticeable, though... The pink chick with the syringe for an arm is the in-game version of Pharmakon, the monster of the day for the Nurse Minako episode.

I captured all of the sprites thanks to the lovely layer activation, and capture features on ZSNES. Everything was assembled in MS Paint, and I used Irfan View to adjust the brightness and get that hazy section on the side.

Gee... I don't think that I could have stretched Tiffu's original concept much more than that... *slowly backs away* ^___^;
