I'm really sorry to see you go. However, good luck with your mission and come back safely! I think it's a good idea to keep a journal or diary while you're away (offline of course).

Damn, you had warned us before, but this is kind of... I don't know. Makes me feel weird. You bet your ass everyone will be waiting for your or something. I'm just hoping you will achieve or find what you were looking for and all.

I have no idea where SMU will be in two years, but I'll stay as long as you guys all stay. We'll have to welcome Bob back, guys. Thanks for everything, and... well, just thanks for everything. I don't know if I'm qualified enough to say anything else

That was a very heartfelt editorial, Bob. It's sad to see you go, but it's great that you're off for a good cause.

I hope that I'm not asking for too much (I apologize if it is), but is it possible that you could say email Dan and Tiff and once a month have them post your emails here at SMU so we can always be updated on what you're doing? What do you guys think?

It'll be hard to know you're gonna be gone for so long, Bob. I read your editorial, too; and if I had a blue ribbon award for just being so damned awesome, I'd wire it to you.

Actually, me and Dan have already worked out a thing where I'm gonna send him my memory cards and he's gonna put all the pictures/movies i take in Georgia up on the internet. I'll be emailing Dan and Tiff frequently so I'm sure they'll keep you all up to date on what i'm doing. =)

I wish that you didn't have to go and leave, but at least you found the path for your life to take and are following that path. I hope that this goes well for you!

And yes, for everyone else, me and Bob have stuff worked out so you'll see pics and videos and stuff he takes as often as he sends me his memory cards and such. ^_^

Bob, loved the editorial. Your heart really rang through the words.

Well, it feels like you're vanishing from the face of the earth from the way people are talking. No offense guys. *ducks tomatoes* I do understand how they feel, I felt that way when my friends left for their missions. In all reality, two years is just so quick. You'll be back before you know it and spiritually richer for the experience.

It takes a great deal of faith to leave everything behind for two years and devote your time and talents to serving God where ever he has called you. It's not easy and challenges will lay ahead, but it's worth every step of the journey. so remember to treasure every moment. And like RoastedTwinkies, I agree you should remember to keep a journal of this. You never know when you may need the memory later.

I'm sorry, I'm getting mushy and stuff. You'd think being a member of the LDS church all my life would prepare me to handle these things better.

Anyway, I loved the article. Goodluck and remember to try to get along with your companions.
