ADV Fixes Glitches (10/8/03 and 10/10/03)

I have to Classic boxset, and I don't plan on sending it back. The glitch in episode 24 doesn't bother me. As for the R boxset, I'm a little short on cash right now, so I will buy that soon.

I didn't even notice the classic boxset thing. I MIGHT send in my R disc, Serena laughing is a bit annoying, but I might not. I mean it's only for what, four seconds? But still they should have caught that.

I still really don't see what the big deal is, about the Classis error anyway. It's just a little glitch on the screen that lasts for like a few seconds, I don't really think it's that important *shrug*

I haven't seen the R one so I won't comment on it yet

Just watched a few episodes of the R boxset over at a friend's house the other day..and I didn't think the dub track glitch would be so bad, but then when I actually heard it, it brought back all of these horrible memories. I don't know whether I'm serious or not when I say this, but I don't think I'll be able to watch a corrected version of the original episode without Terri Hawkses' insane Serena "yodel-squeal" in my head. I have yet to see the Classic boxset, or to come up with the cash to buy it, so out of curiosity, what's the error on that set? It can't be worse than the R one..right?

Depends on what your definition of "worse" is. During episode 24, the screen jitters every so often during the first half of the episode. Personally, I would find this more annoying than the "yodel"; honestly, I didn't find the American actress's rendition that bad.

Hearing that also brought back bad memories.
And for some reason, the four second laugh reminded me of something like this:
"Hyuck heh hyuck *snort* he he he heuck"

No, see in episode 78 in the R boxset during Mamoru's dream there's four seconds or so of Serena's laugh. To someone who doesn't know, it's a rather unwanted surprise.

That's pretty annoying, but in comparison to how much I want this boxset, ti's not a big deal.

Since ADV is essentially recalling this disc, I would assume that later releases would have the glitch fixed. So if you're lucky, your Christmas present will be "yodeling" free!!

I think the ep 24 jitter varies by player. I barely noticed it, the only time it happened was during the pan in fromt of the abandoned building. Assuming what I saw was jitter.

The only time I saw the error was during the transform sequence, so maybe it does have something to do with players...

I would have to say that the frame-rate glitch on episode 24 of the Classic box probably does vary in severity from player to player. On mine there was only about ten (fifteen max) seconds of barely noticeable shaking during the beginning of the episode and then after that I didn't see anymore problems. So I don't feel the need to send off my entire Classic box just to get it fixed, though I am a little more peeved about the R glitch…

The glicthes are really bad during the opening and Usagi's transformation. At least thats how it's played on my dvd player.
