Hey Tiff?

Post by Celexa » Fri Oct 17, 2003 5:45 pm

I wasn't on the forums until just before they closed down and then I was just watching so I don't know if this was discussed, but why didn't you put in your two cents for S and SuperS? Did you not get to see them or what?

Me: This is coming from the kid who doesn't know what Viagra is!
Ko: It's cold medicine, right?
Our Group: NO!!!
Me: Can I just say?
Dylan: Sure, it's no weirder than what normally comes out of your mouth.
Me: (says what)
Ko: .....What's that?
Me: ......*starts crying*
Carley: STEVE! STEVE GET OVER HERE AND TELL KO WHAT VIAGRA DOES!
Steve: See, it's like this: The bridge goes up and the soldiers rush out....

Tiff: Aww, you killed someone for me. That's so sweet in a f***ed up sort of way!

two reasons:
1) For S, I simply wasn't home to watch the episodes. I was able to watch abuot half of them (which is shown through my two cents for those), but then school started, and i was in class.
2) For SuperS, I had moved out to an apartment, and didn't have cable. Therefore, I saw none of it.
Since then, i've seen a bit more, but not nearly enough, and I'm not going to bother putting my two cents.

Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

Can we include a section in comparisons for episode bloopers?

In the description of this topic it says: "Discuss the content of the site's comparisons here.". If it's not in or about the site's comparisons, it doesn't need to be discussed.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

Oh, okay.

I've been thinking about some of the S comparisons and the inconsistencies in naming the three Talismans (i.e. one episode they're the 'pure hearts'; and in the next episode they're 'heart crystals', etc.)

My theory for the inconsistency is...different characters have different names for them. Consider:
The Inners and Moon call them pure hearts
The Death Busters go a step further and call them pure heart crystals
The outers call them the crystal treasures

However, since all those names refer to the same thing (three objects of power that are hidden in three special people's hearts), sometimes the characters will use the multimple names interchangeably, therefore confusing the audience.

This also goes for other objects in the S season. Consider the daimons, for example:
The Death Busters usually refer to daimon eggs as 'daimon pods', But in those episodes where they just say 'daimon', the audience automatically assumes that they are referring to the daimon pods. The dubbers just assumed that the audience would catch on after a few episodes.

As for the Sailors calling the daimons 'heart-snatchers'; I'm going to say that is their special name for the daimons, since the daimons do 'snatch hearts', in essence.

To wrap this dissertation up, just remember that inconsistency to the audience might be because of the different character groups' use of their own special names

Nice theory there. I'd just like to know, Tiff, if you ARE ever going to put up your two cents for the rest of the series?

Me: This is coming from the kid who doesn't know what Viagra is!
Ko: It's cold medicine, right?
Our Group: NO!!!
Me: Can I just say?
Dylan: Sure, it's no weirder than what normally comes out of your mouth.

it's hard to tell. Probably not, as I'll probably never see the dubs of those.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.
