Boomerang is barely existant. The vast majority of America doesn't even get it. It was here for a while in Philadelphia, but it's gone now unless you have $200 a month cable, it seems.

I've read all of the manga of this prior to its licensing. It's very cute, and by volume 4 I was sold, thanks to its wonderful lead characters.

The concept takes a while to get used to, but it's actually a very nice slice-of-life kind of comedy, with romantic elements thrown in.

At least it's not another cookie-cutter romantic comedy brimming with fanservice being brought to America, like I''s is.

Cardcaptor Sakura at least proved that it was possible to do a shoujo anime in the 90s without ripping off of Sailor Moon. I like Spongebob Squarepants. It's at least nice to see a show that doesn't shove morals down your throat every episode. It's incredibly stupid, and it won't win awards for writing, art, animation, etc., but it's SUPPOSED to be stupid. Except for a few adult jokes, there's nothing intelligent at all...

From what I've read and seen, yes. Then again, even the fansubs of S and SuperS had better audio (and even visual) quality. We got a decent translation (unlike VKLL's scripts), and nothing else.

I loathe the American division of Toei.

Guess I'm lucky then. Only the Suncoast around me seems to have a hard time with me reading manga without purchasing (and some are nicer than others).

Most Borders and Barne & Noble stores actually let you read the manga..

Constantly hearing about Stars reminds me of a time when the Sailor Moon seasons were actually about Sailor Moon herself, and when she wasn't reduced to appearing in the middle and ends of a season to move the plot along.

The last good season was R IMO.

The only voice improvement was with Rini IMO. Everyone else's new voices were inferior to the first two seasons, especially Amy's and Mina's. I (eventually) got used to Serena's, though.

Has anyone besides me seen this series / read the manga? I think it's pretty funny and cute, and kinda like Azumanga Daioh (but with more emphasis on male characters).

My personal favorite character is Harima, if only because he is such a weirdo.

I think a big part of me not liking it quite as much as the others is the insanely horrible quality Pioneer gave us in the Region 1 DVDs...by far the worst quality DVDs I've ever seen in my life...before that I'd only seen the Cloverway dub and the raw Japanese LDs (which are freaking beautiful)......

ChibiChibi isn't in the S season. She's only in Sailor Stars. Personally, I see no point for a redub. The vast majority of Sailor Moon fans didn't like the S and SuperS dubs to begin with, which were (barely) improvements on the first two seasons' dub. A redub still wouldn't stack well enough agains...

Ah! Finally, a release date. Been waiting for one for a while ^^;

I really wasn't looking forward to this game a while back, but after the horror that was Chain of Memories, this looks pretty good.
